Explore the mystery and legends that swirl throughout Romania on this day tour from Bucharest to Transylvania. Uncover the Neo-Renaissance architecture of Peles Castle, soak in the eerie atmosphere that inspired Dracula, and stroll the mediaeval streets of picturesque Brasov.

Let your guide whisk you away to Sinaia, a quaint town nestled at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains. Here, discover the masterpiece that is Peles Castle, once home to the Romanian royal family. Stop to admire its dramatic turrets before heading inside to explore its 160 rooms. Wind your way through the halls to marvel at crystal chandeliers and gaze out the stained-glass windows to take in panoramic views of the pointed mountains set against crystal-blue skies.

Head north through Transylvania towards Bran Castle, a 13th-century fortress perched atop a 200-foot-high (61-metre) rock. Twist your way through dimly lit stairways, underground passages, and rooms housing hundred-years-old weapons and torture devices. Listen as your guide captivates you with the myths and mysteries of Count Dracula that are steeped in the castle's history.

Your adventure concludes with a walking tour through the charming mediaeval town of Brasov, surrounded by the towering Carpathian Mountains. Meander through the historic centre of the city, passing by the Gothic Black Church and the red-roofed buildings of Council Square. Finish your day with some free time to shop, eat, and explore on your own before heading back to Bucharest.

This was an awesome adventure! Alex, our tour guide, was funny, pleasant and very informative. The Peles and Bran Castles were beautiful and many scenic routes and landmarks in between! Food was delicious but service can be slow so make sure you eat before sight seeing. Traffic was a challenge but Remus, our driver, got us around safely and comfortably! Travel light because there is a lot of walking! Would recommend the Castle tours and would definitely use this service again on my next visit!

The bus driver was excellent. Not a crazy driver like some tours we have been on. Guide was very knowledgeable but lacked the personality and extra effort we have come to expect from professional tour guides. Trip was a bit disorganized but understand traffic issues and how that backs things up. Bathroom facilities were the biggest issue given women’s acces is always an issue. Guide also didn’t show much concern for making sure everyone was accounted for but at end on bus she made sure they were all there. Overall it was a long but very interesting and scenery is amazing.

Robert gave us detailed information about the Castles, Brasov and further info that we didn't expect to hear and which was indeed interesting to know about Romania in general. It was an amazing experience and will indeed recommend it to other tourists visiting as you get to visit 3 of the important destinations in Romania. I would've loved to see the actual Dracula's Castle though but that was ok after such a lovely long trip with Dany and Robert.
