What you can expect

Now this is the trip for adventure lovers. Well, Chidiatapu is the best sunset point in Port Blair and thousands of travellers visit this destination, however, very few know that this destination also hosts a trekking trail known as Munda Pahad. Get a chance to trek through forest to reach the south west corners of South Andaman Islands.

We start around 1 PM from your hotel to Chidiyatapu. This destination isaround30 KM from the main city and is famous for sunset view and for bird watching. The road passes through forest and small hills up to the Chidiatapu. From Port Blair, the journey would take around one hour to reach Chidiatapu. If you are interested to watch the sunset it is advisable to take an afternoon trip to this place. Remains of trees uprooted during Tsunami in 2004 are still present near the beach. There is no restaurant or food stall available inside the park; however, small hotels are present at the entrance. While travelling to this place sea will be to your left side. On your way you would pass through the Kalapathar, a trail of black rocks and beach. Stop here to take some pictures and proceed to ChidiaTapu.

Upon reaching Chiditapu, we start our trek to the Munda pahad. An expert guide who knows the turf accompanies you during the trek throughout the jungle and return. The trek is covered in approximately 40 - 60 minutes of time, depends on how fast you are. And finaly you reach the south most ends of the islands where you can take pictures of your loved ones and spend some time with your family. Upon completion of the trek our guide helps you to return back through the same to experience the sunset. Finaly we return back to Port Blair in the evening where we drop you back to the hotel to relax and unwind.
