What you can expect

Enjoy a full day discovering the limestone hills & popular shrine of the Batu Caves. Take in the wonders of the city including the King's Palace, National Monument in the Lake Gardens, the National Mosque & Old Railway. You will also see the monumental Petronas Twin Towers, which prior to 2004 where the tallest twin skyscrapers in the world!

You will be met at the port by our representative holding our Venture Ashore logo, ready to commence your tour.

This fabulous full day tour will start with a visit to the limestone hills of Batu Caves. Said to be more than 400 million years old, the caves include three caverns and several smaller caves, and include various hindu shrines. There are approx 270 steps leading to the grandest of caves called the Cathedral Cave, and once inside you will see the 300 foot high ceiling. You will see the impressive golden statue of the Hindu deity called Lord Murugah, before venturing up the steps to see his temple. Explore the caves and their fascinating murals, full of images & scenes from the Hindu scripts.

Your tour will then move on for a photo stop at the King's Residence, the official stately home of the King of Malaysia, before moving onto the National Monument. This is located in the Lake Gardens of Kuala Lumpur.

Continuing on, you will take a photo stop at the Nation Mosque and the Old Railway Station, before moving onto Independence Square. An important site where many events and activities are held, you will take a tour around the area, where you knowledgeable guide will give you information about the history & culture of the locals and impressive buildings. You will see the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, which was previously a government administration building. You will also see the Anglican church - Cathedral of Saint Mary.

Your final photo stop will be the monumental Petronas Twin Tower - which prior to 2004 - were the tallest twin skyscrapers in the world.
