"My husband and I spent two nights at this gem of a traditional country hotel while attending the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Mark, the proprietor and his entire staff, could not have been more friendly, gracious and accommodating! Fabulous breakfasts and lovely public rooms including a cozy bar with fireplace seating. Bedroom spacious and comfortable. And we also attended a festival whisky pairing dinner at the hotel that was truly delicious created by Mark's wife who is the chef. "

"The lodge was old but very well maintained and lots of fun especially given its turn of the century design and decor. It was like going back in time...in a very good way. "Property & room were well appointed and maintained. Room seating was uncomfortable as sofa was a sleeper and chair was stiff, but really, most time is spent out of the room. No AC so we were hot when outside temps were in the 50’sF. In fairness this is common in Scotland. Very nice pools - yes more than 1 - plus restaurant and separate informal lounge. Good food, but breakfast hours start at 10. Doting staff. Perfect service. "

"Lots of good, more recent replenishments, like the bathroom, the dining area, and the great swimming pool, hot tub, saunas. Nice well-tended gardens. Great service. But a lot of windows painted immovably shut. And the food was a big let-down. We arrived on Sunday for Sunday dinner at 8, couldn't eat our mains. Breakfasts had the feel of having sat a long time after cooking, bacon burnt to a crisp on 2 out of 4 breakfasts."

"I have stayed here a few times over the last year on business trips. Friendly, clean and tidy and good value for money. The King and double bedrooms I have stayed in are spacious and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Nice touch that when they get to recognise you as a regular, a room upgrade is simply done as a nice gesture without asking - excellent customer service that puts the guest first. Happened at least three times fairly recently "
