"Restaurants close early and some require reservations. I arrived late the first night and didn’t know that the restaurant was not open to public or guest the second night so I had to eat at 7-Eleven each night. 7-Eleven is on property was a lifesaver.. not many restaurants in the area but hotel was fantastic"

"5 minute walk from Akita station, there are plenty of food options around and shopping malls nearby to do souvenir shopping. Plenty of attractions nearby like the park opposite and the Akita Inu station behind. The onsen on the top floor was also enjoyable, and had free dessert right outside. There's also free noodles at night for supper. Great place to stay for day trips from Akita."

"Good size hotel room but too far from the Akita Station to walk. However the taxi was easy to catch and cost less than 1,000 Yen; if traffic is good, the meter does not even jump and remains at 690 Yen."

"Quiet area, right next to the coast and the Akita tower (which is free to visit at anytime, even at night when the shops close). Supermarket right next door. This area is more suburban, but still a handful of small restaurants nearby. 10 to 15 minute walk from Tsuchizaki train station. Not walkable from downtown Akita. You need to take the train or bus to get to Akita, but the train is very convenient. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of options even if you are vegetarian. Less options if you are...

"The hotel staff speaks English well, and was really helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Only thing that I wasn’t satisfied about was the google map navigation, the hotel has perfect location but google map kept guiding me to the wrong direction. But overall, great hotel and great service. "

"The staffs were friendly and helpful. They came immediately to help us as our room was too hot, the laundry was running out of the soap and gave suggestions where to eat. The Japanese breakfast was excellent and it was worth the 1800 yen/person which we enjoyed it very much. We took the bus and the taxi(1000yen) to/from the station."
