Extremely poor water flow from bathroom basin taps. Poor coffee quality from machines. Very good breakfast but not laid out in a practical order which meant a lot of unnecessary walking to collect associated foods. Reception staff need better standard English. Well positioned in town.

The property is relatively close to Old Town which can be accessed by driving, shuttle bus (when it's running), or walking. The property itself is dated and bathrooms need a good deep clean or renovation (grout between the tiles was either missing completely or black). Parking was an issue (holiday weekend) - if you absolutely need parking, make sure you reserve a spot with the hotel.

The VIP benefits were great and the staff provided excellent service. I did not like that the spa had many things out of order and they force you to buy a swim cap. The food was also not good quality

2-3 star at best but you get what you pay for….. I suspect the ‘4 star’ is on account of the spa which seemed remarkably empty; also remarkably empty was the room - two small single beds with plastic mattress covers, a big space between bed an window with not even a desk chair. Absolutely no seat for the desk/mirror which seemed odd. Tea facilities sponsored by ‘Tetley’ - branded cups and tiny kettle. I say ‘facilities’ as there was no actual tea - or milk. We arrived 9.30pm so I rang down to be told we could have some teabags the following day and the hotel doesn’t have milk…. Seriously?? Not seriously as the breakfast buffet had milk for cereal but… speaking of breakfast buffet, that was actually rather good. Friday and Saturday live entertainment in the very brightly lit bar- Friday dreadful, Saturday very good; the bar itself has a choice of one white wine which although not bad seems a little restrictive. Bar staff very good as were all staff encountered with the exception of reception other than one chap of larger frame with glasses. No ‘gold status’ perks given, I had to show the listing to get the complimentary bottle of house (only) wine and that took 24. hours to arrive. Forget room upgrades, I don’t think the hotel take any notice at all/are even aware of member Hotels.com benefits. Finally, pool was freezing.

The gym opening 9am is diabolical. Needs to be open by 7-8am daily at the least and for gods sake get double the cardio equipment. Its a good gym otherwise. Apart from that nice hotel, need a larger selection of deserts and we had some under cooked rice but that got resolved. Nice place friendly staff please resolve the issues and diversify the food too for the all-inclusive

Good hotel for a week stay, nice room, clean, nice pool area, friendly staff. However, the aircon wasnt working in our room the entire time we were there which isnt ideal somewhere that hot. Whenever we asked they said it was a building wise issue and were not clear as to when or if it was being sorted. Breakfast was good but dinner wasnt great on the night we ate at the hotel

Amazing stay, great service, highly recommended
We received great service from al staff members. The rooms and all areas were spotless clean, very important these days and the dinner buffet was delicious. The breakfast buffet I think could have more variety but it was full on and they kept on refilling even at 10:00 that was actually closing time. Overall very happy with the hotel, many thanks to all staff

Property is advertised as air conditioned, but the ac in the room was not at all blowing cool air. The temperature outside was more cooler than inside. Shocking from a four star hotel. Quality has been compromised to maximise profits, will not be returning and I am glad to have left.

Excellent Hotel with friendly helpful staff. While an uphill walk from amenities might be a bit off putting the free bus and collection service available more than compensated for this. The food buffet service was excellent.

Poor 4* hotel! No tea or coffee replaced on daily basic Housekeeper non existent, other than bed changing No bathroom amenities, only pumps on the wall If your in the bath it place up high for the shower, making it inconvenient & a skip issue! In the suite Poor aircon …it doesn’t work!

Go for all-inclusive, as the food is heavenly
Excellent! I upgraded to all-inclusive, as the 3x daily buffets were irresistible. Incredibly good food! Plus free shuttle to the beach and the city centre several times per day. The rooms are huge and alone the bathroom was about three times bigger than mine at home. Every room has a balcony and a fridge and other goodies which (I think) are not even mentioned in the ad. It was also possible to park the car for free on the street in front of the hotel, so the 5 euro per day for the secure underground garage are merely optional. I got an amazingly good price, too, as the hotel had just reopened after winter closure, only 40 euros per night. The first week of March is definitely a great time to go to the Algarve.

Weather was fab. Hotel is half way between Old town and the strip. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We done all inclusive and plenty of food to choose from...plenty of sun loungers by the pools and a free bus to and from the beach.. Will come back here

However our air con didn’t work, our fridge didn’t work and the all inclusive was really disappointing. Breakfast was good but lunches and dinner didn’t have enough options, especially if you’re not a big fan of fish. Drinks only served until 11pm and after that it was €17 for 2 spirits & mixer! Local beer & wine were good but spirits and cocktails weren’t great. The pool area is nice but I think the sun loungers need to be cleaned more regularly, they’re a bit tatty. It’s a really nice hotel but I’d do B&B if I was going back and the air con would have to be fixed for the summer season!

The property was nicer than expected. There are areas that require upgrading, but the overall care of the hotel was very well maintained. The buffet was okay, but for an all inclusive it was probably on par to other hotels. The staff was friendly and the shuttle service to the beach was awesome. I’d definitely return for another stay in the future.

Rooms were very good, food repetative and at best luke warm on hot plate. Hotel location is out of the way, although hotel does provide courtesy bust to old and new town

The staff were A+, nothing was too much trouble and everyone so pleasant to speak to. Our junior suite was superb- ideal for our family’s needs. Food and bars great, pools lovely and shuttle bus service ideal.
