"Very pretty country location. The rooms including common rooms were all lovely. The tiny bathrooms were cramped and windowless and let the property down. Breakfasts were lovely, with lots of choice. We didn’t have dinner there, as prices were over the top, compared with what we were paying in other locations on our trip around the UK. "

"Location is great. Staff are very helpful, breakfast is excellent and lots of choice. We had a superior room at the Windermere Rooms. I expected a better view/facilities for the cost, rooms were very warm but could be easily fixed by turning the radiators down. Floor in the bedroom was slightly uneven which didn’t affect the stay but something I didn’t expect for the price of the room. I would definitely stay again but probably wouldn’t pay for a superior room."

"This is a repeat trip to this hotel. set in the glorious countryside of Grasmere. The hotel has a quaint but contempoary feel. all the staff from arrival to leaving were understadig and willing to talk to us about the spa, food or the amenities. We had an upstairs upgrade room with Jacuzzi bath and balcony overlooking the adjacent stream. We visited the compact spa which was welcome after a days hiking and lasted one half hour by our choice.
