“Quiet and Comfortable”
The Zwanenburg is about a 15-minute drive from the airport, using the shuttle service provided by the hotel. We needed to stay overnight from one incoming flight with a 13-hour layover for a morning flight back to the States the next day. They were able to provide an early (5:30) shuttle service back to the airport. Both driver and evening and morning staff at the desk were helpful and friendly. Pick up at the airport and return were both on time. The beds were extremely comfortable and shower/bathroom facilities were clean with everything working properly. It was very quiet all night. We felt the hotel was very reasonably priced. One thing to think about: we didn't notice an elevator (there could have been one..we didn't ask) and were on the 2nd floor. If you've got heavy bags, this could be an issue if there's not a lift.
“Hotel Zwanenburg-- great find!”
Nice small hotel. Very clean. Has breakfast room, restaurant and lounge. Free Wi-fi, but you have to pay to use their computers. Friendly staff. Free airport shuttle. Drawbacks-- fairly close to airport (15 mins by car) but quite a distance from the city center. No elevator, but hotel is small. Staff carried my large bag to my room. Would definitely stay there again. Is located in a nice area within walking distance to shops/restaurants.
“Best Amsterdam choice”
Easy to find, free parking, walking distance to shops and restaurants; 15 minutes to downtown Amsterdam. Good breakfast. There was a problem with the wifi in the room, but the hotel owners set me up with a cable in one of the downstairs rooms so I had quick and easy Internet access. Friendly staff, very convenient, very affordable.
“Value for Money”
Very nice, quaint, hotel between AMS Airport and Amsterdsam. Clean, and airport shuttle to/from to eliminate the one-way taxi fare of 30 euros. I would stay there again due to the value and outer city location.
“Great Hotel and Great price”
Hotel very nice Pick up from and to the airport great Friendly staff The only point or suggestion would be to have tea or coffee available in the room
“Very pleasant stay”
I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Zwanenburg, it is not located near Amsterdam city center but in a quiet and clean town, Zwanenburg. Amsterdam is easily reached by a short bus ride to Sloterdijk train station and then a shorter train journey to Amsterdam centraal station, the journey usually costs between 4 and 6 euros. Near to the hotel are 2 supermarkets and a few other shops, cash machine etc. The hotel room was clean and comfortable with a good quality television that had had channels in several european languages. The hotel staff were very friendly and i would not hesitate to stay there again. Also, they are happy to drive you to and from the airport for free, which is a nice bonus when you have heavy luggage.
“Lovely hotel in a very cute suburb of Amsterdam.”
The hotel and surrounding community are absolutely lovely and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only negative about this hotel is its location far from the center of Amsterdam. It is not a far ride by bus or bicycle and it is nice to get away from the hussle of the city, but it is definitely not within walking distance from any of the museums, the Red Light District, or Dam Square area. Loved Hotel Zwanenburg either way!
“convenient if driving to amsterdam”
Basic but functional. Rooms were in general quite clean, but very dated. The hotel in general would benefit with a 'freshen up'. The feel was quite tired overall. The location wasnt that brilliant - you needed to take a bus and then the metro to get into central Amsterdam. The busses only run until midnight so if your planning to be back late, you will need to take a taxi (about 35 euros). The staff were friendly and very helpful. Lots of information available about the attractions and public transport in the hotel lobby (all free). This hotel is good if you are planning on driving to Amsterdam (as we did). The hotel has its own private car park so there is no charge to park your car during your stay. Overall, I would give this hotel a 6/10 because its location and it could do with a lick of paint. I would not recommend this hotel if you are NOT driving to Amsterdam. Stay inside Amsterdam itself.
“Good value for the money”
I felt this was a good value for the money. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Free shuttle to and from airport was a very good plus. Breakfast was a fair value for the money. Staff was friendly and helpful.
“I'll stay here if ever in Amsterdam again!!.”
The hotel was quaint and in a suburb of Amsterdam, located in a clean nice neighborhood, away from all the comercial hussle. It was quite and pleasant.
