"Let me start by saying how impressed we were with this Super 8 Motel's plumbing system. It is a rare thing for a budget Motel to have both excellent water pressure AND temperature control. If you closed your eyes while in the shoower, you could almost imagine a much more luxurous hotel. But this Arcata Super 8 is a budget stop in every other regard and is not pretending to be anything else. I respect that solid decision to keep it real. "Nothing bad to say about the staff.... That said, this place was very dirty. I don't think they really ever clean it. Some examples: The floor was so dirty our feet were brown. The walls had goop on them The lamp had a layer of dust that showed they never cleaned it. I would rather stay in my car than here again. "
