“Convenient location and good value”
We arrived Athens in Oct 2011, a few days before joining a cruise. We were planning to stay near the Athens' city center, but because of the protest and transit strike, we decided in the last minute to stay at Port Pireaus instead. We picked Hotel Savoy mainly for its location. It is within walking distance to cruise terminal and both sides of the bay, as well as to metro and train stations. Turned out it is on the main street and that there are also lots of shops & restaurants around. Room furnishing is basic but sufficient for short term stay. Bath room is also clean and functional. Hotel lobby is spacious and comfortable. There's wired internet in room, and Wi-fi in lobby. Breakfast buffet is great. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Good value for the price, and very convenient.
“Perfect Location & Great Value for Money”
I used Savoy hotel for a short business trip in Piraeus. Booking was made via Expedia and I must say I've got my money’s worth. Its position was exactly what I wanted, close to my shipping business partners and the commercial area. Staff very professional and at the same time very friendly. Rooms, could be bigger, but overall comfortable, clean and well taken care of. Breakfast with a big variety to choose from and the one evening meal I had was a local dish which was very tasty. Overall a small comfortable hotel to which I would not go to spend a two weeks holiday but I would happily return to it for a business trip or a stopover.

Hotel savoy was a little far from the port by foot as I experienced first hand but by bus it was great! The staff were great and extremely helpful.. My room was very spacious and clean.. Even though I was only there for a night, it was great for what I wanted! Definitely recommend!

“The hotel to stay in Piraeus”
Stayed in Piraeus and the hotel for three nights. The staff were very pleasant and helpful making you feel at ease. The room was comfortable and clean (would prefer a bigger bathroom). Breakfast well presented with a big choice and the fresh squeezed orange juice was a pleasant surprise. Had dinner one of the nights and I did enjoy the Greek dishes offered in the menu at a very reasonable price. Would recommend hotel Savoy without a second thought if your destination is Piraeus or the area of Athens.

“Good Hotel, Great Location”
Used Expedia to book The Savoy for one night in Pireaus because of a change in Ferry departures. Having made the reservation we then received another ferry change meaning we had to arrive a day earlier than planned. We just turned up at the hotel at about 08:00, explained our situation and they immediately made made a room available to us for the same (low) Expedia rate. Throughout our 2 day stay we found that all reception, bar and restaurant staff had good english and were polite and helpful. The Savoy basically presents as a Business Hotel though is comfortable enough and clean. Bar and restaurant are adequate rather than great, though this is not a big problem if spending a few days holiday as there are plenty of alternative restaurants in the area. The Savoy really wins on its location, being only about 10 min. drive from the port and 10 minutes walk to the marina and a very good shopping area. Don't be put off by the car park (which is free!) at the back of the hotel. It is very run down but the hotel is fine. If staying in Pireaus again we'd use the Savoy.

The Savoy was clean and the food was good at the restaurant however I was the only customer. If you don't mind eating alone with the wator lurking around. The location was within walking distance to the pier which is what i was interested in as I was performing training on Cruise ships while I was there. 25-30 Euro taxi ride to Athens airport. Easy access to trains to Acropolis.
“WiFI ... NOFI”
i decided to add the internet and breakfast option to my reservation for an additional $ . .....the wifi did not work, I phoned for a cable and it did not ....i finally got up and went to the lobby.... we moved a night stand in the room to use as a eating table, and the carpet was filthy..... never recommend this hotel!
