The property location is very tight and crowded but they do their best to valet park for you. Very nice hotel.

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Room was large and clean and the staff was extremely helpful. We had arrived at 6:00 am after a 14 hour flight from Canayand they went out of their way to get us checked in early.

Lovely hotel
Great hotel, in the centre of Auckland, close to shops, restaurants and cruise port. Very friendly staff. Small gym and swimming pool which were both great due to my jet lag

Good location downtown. Metropolitan/ cosmopolitan city. Walking distance to the harbor, ferry’s, lots of restaurants, cafes, high end shopping etc. use Uber not taxis! Waiheke Island is lovely for wine tasting, take the ferry, and hop on hop off Explorer bus to wineries, Sky tower is great. The historical museum is fabulous. Good walking shoes a must. Room has a fridge, and hot water pot, tea & coffee. No restaurant or food provided. Helpful front desk staff.

This is our 2nd stay at CityLife, whilst it isnt the flashest of hotels it is clean and comfortable and exactly what we need for a short stay in Auckland CBD. This time we were provided a complimentary upgrade to the top floor, which was a lovely and spacious, very quiet, room. The only thing we struggled with on a hot day was working out the air conditioning, but we sussed it out in the end with a lot of cursing in the process. The pool was a lovely way to start the new day, it was clean and warm. The only other downfall is check out time, be nice to hahe an extra hour until 11am to feel like we were not along on our merry way in the morning (especially being childfree too). But all in all a pleasant and lovely staff with warm and welcoming staff.

I booked and paid for 2 rooms for two nights. the room for 2 adults and 3 children only provided for 2 adults and 2 children. Hotel wanted me to pay for an extra child, but I refuse saying that the room was booked for 2 adults and 3 children. They accepted my reasoning however it was embarrassing.

Repeat visitor because of location Repeated trouble with their air conditioning: not reactive enough, complicated control, blows heat instead of cold, 1 little unit for multi room suite > all inadequate Also repeated problems with elevators. They have 4 but 1 to 2 are blocked off for their own staff, 1 is often broken > which leaves 1 elevator for all guests
