“Great Location and Great Service”
We had several rooms as there were 8 of us traveling together, and while we each had different room types - they were all nice. Some had a stove, others a washer/dryer, others a balcony. All were clean and comfortable. Beds were fabulous! Lounge was nice meeting place and good to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was ridicously expensive, but there were other good options around the corner. Good gift shop too onsite. Movenpick ice cream is just a block away, as was lots of good coffee shops. The Viaduct is a short walk. Nice to stay here and avoid the viaduct night noise for a good nights sleep too. We will make this our go to place in Auckland in the future!
“Loved the Heritage”
Stayed here with my family of four in October, 2011 and we just loved this place. We chose the hotel because we had heard the New Zealand rugby team had stayed there a few weeks earlier and we got a decent rate. The hotel doesn't look super fancy from the outside and the lobby is nice but not that impressive. Our room, however (and we chose the cheapest room available) was fabulous. Huge ceilings and our two double beds were separated by a sliding wall. Everything was super clean and comfortable and having the kitchen in the room was a big plus as we had two small children. The location was perfect, just around the corner from the Sky Tower and very much in the center of Auckland. HIghly recommend staying here!
“Excellent hotel”
Great location
“Great Hotel”
This hotel was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and compent. The hotel itself was very nice. The hotel was convenently located to motorways and attractions. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
“Overall excellent hotel”
Our rooms were huge, had very high ceilings and a sliding door between the two double beds - perfect for travelling with teens. Superlative service - hotel was extremely accomodating, even permitted a 6:30 am check in (we were international travellers). Our rooms had well-supplied kitchenettes and internet service. We had never stayed at any Heritage hotels before, but I would definitely stay at any one of this chain in the future (they also have conference centers).
“Very Good”
Hard to find fault with the Heritage...but here goes: 1. The front door/valet parking staff should be AT THE FRONT DOOR, not at the reception desk chatting. Hyatt (now Pullman) understands this basic concept far better. 2. Towels at the pool would be nice. Going to the front desk or bringing them from the room is not 4.5 star-worthy. But all in all, a fine hotel.
“Auckland stay at the Heritage”
Auckland very quiet on Decemebr 25,26,27, a coffee service in the foyer was good as not many shops open
“A great place to stay in Auckland.”
This hotel is excellent if you want a nice, comfortable room to go back to after a day of sight seeing. Ideally located, short walk to the harbour and shopping streets, and round the corner from Sky Tower (where most busses seem to stop). Staff were very helpful, they even did the ringing up of the airline for us who lost our lugguage! Our meal in the restaurant wasn't sparkling, but you eat out from the hotel when away anyway!
“Definitely a good value!”
I sqealed in delight when I saw my rooom! It has a kitchenett that is the nicest one I have ever seen. The ceilings are very high so the room looks very spacious. The bathroom was well lit, spacious and clean. The employees at The Heritage Auckland were very friendly and helpful. If I were to stay in Auckland again, I would stay at this hotel.
“Great place to stay”
great service, relaxed but helpful. in center of town, close to harbor and other amenities, great for family or business. second stay there
