“Lovely Stay”
incredible historic hotel which was opened in 1886 and quite lovely! Staff is very friendly and helpful. We ate at the 1886 Cafe and the meal was wonderful.
“Terrific Stay”
The room was lovely, the staff charming and our meal at the Grill was sublime. I plan to stay here the next time we visit.
“The best!!!!!!!!”

“Excellent”
Excellent food service and very excelent staff. Facilities are 1886-1889 opulent
“Great Austin Hotel”
I love this hotel. I have stayed here before and did not book my room through expedia the first time. The first time, my room was spacious and very comfortable. This time, the room was much smaller and felt a little cramped. Still a great hotel and great service.
“It's a 10, folks!”
My room was luxurious beyond imagination: cozy king bed that made me feel like a queen; black marble bathroom floor with modern fixtures and a fabulous tub; well stocked mini-bar; comfy, elegant lobby; great bar and cafe.
“The Driskill April 2012”
Had a lovely time at the Driskill. The hotel is conveniently located for visiting The Capital, the Bob Bullock museum and events on 6th street. Happy hour was wonderful and the breakfasts were delicious!
“Amazing memorable experience!!!”
What an amazing experience. Everyone was so helpful, kind and welcoming. Help was available from everyone at any time. We even spent time exploring all of the "haunted stories" and had a ball. It's close to restaurants, shopping and anything you can imagine. The valet's were wonderful and the entire time we spent there was just absolutely incredible. The Drikell is awesome and I would love to stay there again and again. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for making our visit to Austin so memorable.!
“Old World Elegance in Cool Downtown Austin”
My daughter and I loved our stay at The Driskill. We stayed in one of the Curio rooms, which are small, but, very comfortable and economical. This beautiful, historic hotel is so charming and its staff is first-class and made us feel very welcome. We loved being right on 6th Street, where you are close to everything and are able to walk around the area (which is great because parking is challenging in downtown Austin). We had a delicious breakfast at Café Crêpe of Austin - about 5 blocks away on San Jacinto. I highly recommend The Driskill and plan on staying there again.
“Austin's Historic Hotel”
This was a wonderful hotel. Comparable to The Parker House in Boston. It IS an old hotel. The rooms that we had were tiny, but we knew that when we made the reservation. They do have large rooms, but they are more expensive. It is right on 6th Street which is where we wanted to be. We could walk to all the clubs and music venues. The staff could not have been more helpful and the bar is great for Happy Hour drinks and food. Can't wait to go back!
