We enjoyed the walkable location. The staff that checked us in was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. The rest of the staff was great. We enjoyed the bar and patio. When you pay over $300 per night, how about providing a decent toilet paper? Sheesh!

Perfect location making many sites walkable. Staff were all very attentive with even the valets knowing our names after the first day. Lovely breakfast in their small restaurant. Food was very good and Frederick the waiter was lovely. He remembered our specific requests from the previous day. Wonder stay!

We especially liked the walkability of the area around the hotel. We had trouble getting the HVAC to stay at chosen temps. Someone needs to check it out

The staff was extremely friendly and professional from the Valet to check-in to the bartenders. The building is very historical and fun to explore. My room was clean, comfortable and quite luxurious. All in all i enjoyed the hotel and will stay there again on my next visit to Austin.

Central location if traveling for work, 3 blocks from Fed Ex, plenty of food options, clean room, spacious, good restaurant, (order the chicken tortilla soup!), staff very helpful.

This was a great location - easily walkable to restaurants, and a quick drive to other places we wanted to see. The valet is a little pricy, but does make it easy! The staff was super friendly, too.

Overpriced for what it is
Though our room was clean and the bed was comfy, that’s kind of where it ended. The rooms were tiny, there was no room service offered, and the TV only has a handful of cable channels. No ability to buy a movie or log into an account on Netflix or anything else. The front desk staff was kind, which was great. The pool was ok, but the hot tub was filthy. Like no way would you want to soak in that, which was super disappointing since we booked this hotel specifically because of the indoor pool/hot tub for the kids. We also had what I’d probably deem as the worst breakfast service ever at their cafe. It is the only time in my adult life that I tipped less than 20%, because it was that bad. Overall very mediocre and so disappointed for the money spent. We won’t be back.

Good location with lots of things within walking distance. Windows need to be cleaned. Wanted to eat breakfast but staff told me they wouldnt be able to get to us for quite a while although the place only had a few people. We had to go somewhere else for breakfast.

We are very happy with the Royal Sonesta in Austin
We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Sonesta in Austin! The room was large and comfortable, the decor was very well done, the location is excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay here again!
