Great historic pub lovingly restored with free hidden parking in the middle of the city with your room booking. Heritage bar and restaurant excellent for dinner as were the inventively clever redesigned accommodation rooms.

We have been at The George Hotel in Ballarat before so we knew what to expect. The Hotel is clean & the staff are pleasant. I would recommend The George Hotel to family & friends.

Very pleasant surprise this one, the room was over a bar but you would never of known, beautiful large rooms, loads of space for a family of three, big bathroom, very comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend.

Beautiful old hotel with fantastic refurb of the accommodation. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed. Our room was very well appointed and very quiet. Perfect for our visit to the Art Gallery.

Lovely building
The building itself is lovely, the room was quite dark but that comes with old buildings. Staff were very friendly, and room service was good. Overall it was a lovely stay.

Room was great but reception was tops. We were booked in for 3 nights but we were there just before the Victorian May Covid outbreak. At check in the woman saw we were due to stay the 3 nights but quickly suggested we book for 1 night and see what happens. Good call…..the borders were closed to Melbourne and Bendigo residents the next day. Will we go back and finish what we were going to do? You bet.
