Beautiful property. Villas are private and very well appointed. My only suggestion is to stock up on groceries so you can make your own meals if you want to. The kitchens have everything you need to do so. Amazing property and amazing staff!

The stay was fantastic, the food was fresh and delicious. The view absolutely gorgeous. The privacy of our villa was the perfect experience. The service was on point. Definitely a highlight in our trip. The only negative I can say was the drive to the villas. The roads are unpaved for about 15min. Very bumpy and steep roads. Highly dont recommend arriving there at night. Other than that, it was amazing !

Where to start Treated by Juan with a cold sparking pineapple drink Walking through main bar , pool ( shared area) was breathe taking - We staying in villa 4 - first class property with comfortable bed / pillows and an unbeatable view over the whale tail Wild life a plenty flying across vista The food was incredible and staff , particular Marlon’s constant smile and chuckle made us feel at home - Jessie and Oval - you have a gem of a property. This place was magical. The drive up the mountain was an adventure. Place is safe and guarded my security. The villas are beautiful and clean. It was breathtaking. The staff so nice and quick with all their services. The room was cleaned everyday and smelled so good. The restaurant was so convenient to have right next to us. We could eat at the restaurant or order our food to eat in our villa which was great on the days we were very tired from excursions. It was better than I could imagine.

Wow. Just wow. First up - Leo was our host and was awesome. Great work Leo! All the staff was great. I'm tired of booking hotels that look good in the pictures then turn out to be disappointing. Golden Pineapple goes the other way. It's breathtaking. Everything here is top notch. I won't repeat everyone else, the rooms are amazing. Outdoor showers, tub and personal pool - brilliant. You can sit outside, (naked if you want!), in your own suite surrounded by jungle mountainside watching CR birds and animals around you. I was worried about the restaurant prices being too high. They are not - in my opinion they match most other table restaurants or even lower than most other 4-5 star hotel restaurants, in my experience. And the food is excellent - a little more rich than fresh, but still quite pleasing. This hotel is on a mountain and the road to access it is too. Don't be a hero. You're not getting up here with a 2wd car. If the rentals are all out of 4wd then you're paying for the taxi. This is the only downside of being here, the taxis are now charging $25 USD per trip from the nearby town. (Feb 2024). That adds up if you want to go out a lot. But honestly, book this hotel just to stay in the beautiful room and relax!

Very special and private place. Our villa was nicely decorated and had a nice private pool with view of the ocean. The staff was outstanding. First night we ordered room service for dinner. The breakfasts and the dinner the following night we had in the central building with a great view of the whale tale. We appreciated the quiet and very private villa while having access to a large pool and the amenities of full stacked bar and restaurant. A nice touch was the welcome sign and the artfully sliced pineapple as a welcome gift. One word of caution. This place is only reachable with a 4WD. It is impossible to climb up the hill otherwise. We highly recommend this place and will be back some time in the future.

Relaxing in the hills over Uvita
Completely enjoyable and relaxing. Service was attentive to all our needs and was so complete we just stayed instead of going out and exploring. Wonderful view overlooking the ocean and Marino Bellena park. Delightful owner. Despite being a small hotel, the restaurant delivered very good food for all the meals during our stay.

This place is stunningly beautiful, both the hotel and the location. The owner Jessie and her staff were kind, hospitable and welcoming. The restaurant only serves the guests of the hotel, so it is small, nevertheless the food was very good. It was the highlight of our trip to CR.

The food was awful and overpriced! If your not doing breakfast don’t eat! You can spend 3 times even with cab fare in the city with better exclusive food. The food was trying to hard and nothing native to the land…,, they tried to hard with the food nachos tacos pizza is native but not on the menu…

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that our menu options were not what you were looking for. We try our best to have a variety of options including some fusion of foods that are Costa Rican staples, however I don't think pizza and nachos are native to Costa Rica. There are some excellent Mexican and Italian restaurants as well as many more casual dining options available in the town below that we are happy to recommend, or you can receive to your villa by delivery service. We are pleased you were satisfied with breakfast and otherwise enjoyed your stay with us.

I wanted to test myself to something amazing for my 50th birthday and this was it! The villa was amazing and the scenery was nothing short of breath taking. The food and drinks were excellent. Man....I loved it! You MUST have a 4x4. DO NOT DRIVE AT NIGHT!! Especially the first night!! Very steep and dark. Lesson learned. *lol*

Our stay at The Golden Pineapple Villas exceeded our expectations! Everything was amazing from the time we arrived to our departure. The room, view, and ambiance are breathtaking!! The food was amazing, the staff is friendly, helpful and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. The owner Jessie is so communicative and really cares about her guest. I literally cannot say one bad thing about this Villa. What an amazing experience we had. 10/10, highly recommend.

The view is amazing, the staff are very personable, and the rooms are requisite. To be so comfortable in a space in the midst of the jungle and jungle sounds was a beautiful experience. Jessie has created a lush and welcoming escape here.

This property is beautiful!!!! The staff is AMAZING!!!! The drinks and food cooked at the resort are really good. The only issue I had was my wife and I are not home bodies. We like to get out and explore the country. This resort is located on a mountain. The resort is only 1.5 miles up the mountain from the main road where stores and restaurants are. But every time you want to go down the mountain it’s $20 one way. So that’s $40 round trip. So it can be expensive if you didn’t rent a car. This resort provides no transportation. But if you are a home body and just want the peace of nature, this won’t be a issue.

Overall the property and service was excellent! Clean place and great views of the coast. Make sure that you rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access the property (you will need it as it is a good 5-8 drive up the mountain)!

We loved our stay at Golden Pineapple Villa. Jesse and Oval went above and beyond for us from the moment we arrived- or tried to arrive. Believe me when I say you need a 4 wheel drive. Otherwise you will get stuck like we did, but they came to our rescue immediately. The entire staff was great. The food was excellent. The accommodations were beyond our expectations. You have so much space and a full kitchen and the bathroom is huge. The views are incredible and we honestly loved everything about our time there.

Golden Pineapple is a great place with a little pool and a wonderful view. You better have a AWD car to get there. A little overpriced in-room drinks and snacks I think. We had a very good dinner at the restaurants, but it was expensive if you compare to local restaurants in Uvita. Breakfast is one of the best and they use quality products as well. Overall 5 stars and we recommend this pace.

The property & views are amazing but the dirt road going up the mountain is scary & you will not make it without a 4x4 car !!

Unbelievable!!!
We can’t say enough about the Golden Pineapple! The owners are fantastic host and will help you out in any way you want. We went horseback riding, zip lining, hiking and ATVing ! So we were adventurous!!!! But I will tell you the Five Star accommodations/food and service we would not have had to leave the property! The view is indescribable to say the least !!! The villas are private and perfect, nothing forgotten. You need a 4 wheel drive vehicle but don’t be scared off once you drive up you will be amazed!!!! We are planning our next trip already and that’s a first for me !!!!

The property sits up in the mountains and has a beautiful view of the jungle and coastline. The Villa was amazing, very private with it's own infinity pool and spectacular views. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The drive up to the property is on a very steep and bumpy dirt road. I'm glad we had and all-wheel drive vehicle with a little ground clearance.
