Excellent location for walking to many places of interest in the city. Some reception staff lacked rapport with hotel guests and could be a little abrupt. Room was comfortable, clean and nicely appointed. Surprisingly quiet given central location.

I booked a double room with balcony and view for 2 people at this VIP access hotel that is supposed to have sparkling wine in the room when I arrive. I am a higher tier Expedia member and so a room upgrade is even possible. Another party travelling with us booked similarly for 1 less night. My room was surprisingly dumpy, tiny, not at all like the pictures and no wine. The room was so tiny, I could not open the closet doors more than 1/3 open before it hit the bed. There is 1 chair for a 2-person room but I cannot sit on it because I cannot pull it out completely from under the desk before hitting the bed. We had been travelling in Spain/Portugal for nearly 4 weeks and this room was worse than any Galician small village hotel we stayed at for the Camino de Santiago. The difference between the 2 rooms were night and day and both were reserved >5 months prior. I had to go back down and complain and they said they have only a couple of rooms left but they can move me to a room with a terrace but no view. That room looked more like the hotel pictures. This hotel seems to have a chronic problem with overbooking rooms even if the reservation was made >5 months prior. How can that be? I also recommend converting that tiny room to have a single bed only, upgrade the room to acceptable standards and charge less for 1 person twin. Easy solution without making customer after customer unhappy with the room.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Barcelona. The staff was professional and highly attentive. While the street is always full of activities, the hotel does a great job of security. Nice touches of glass wine glasses, coffee cups and daily water was delivered to our room.

Service was fantastic. Staff noticed from my husband’s passport that his birthday was during our stay and gave him a note and chocolates. This type of personal attention did not go unnoticed. Bed was comfortable, terrace off room was a great place to have coffee and location was perfect.

Perfect location for us and we loved the architecture of the building. The bathroom was nice. It’s too bad the windows have no view. We missed having a top sheet on the bed and a quality blow dryer in the bathroom.
