"I booked this hotel for a night prior to taking an Avalon river cruise. The hotel was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The room was a bit smaller and more dated than it appears in the photos, but it was still nice. Note -- some reviews stated that the wine was gratis -- it was not, I had to pay for it on checkout! The tram runs right below the window and so it was a bit noisy to keep the window open, but there are lots of trams in Basel, so any hotel would probably have the same issue....
