I reserved a non smoking room. WhenI got there the room smelt like smoke. Heat did not work. It blew out cold air. Staff was not friendly at all. Hotel definitely needs updating.

The room had a bad smell to it. Found a dirty wash towel folded up to be used again. No coffee in room. Noise all night long of people going in and out of rooms.

HORRIBLE!!! JUST HORRIBLY, HORRIBLE
I stayed awake the first night guarding my personal items so that the roaches wouldn't crawl into my personal belongings. The roaches were crawling from behind the refrigerator, across the bruer and between the board of the bathroom door. Once another room was available, we didn't have to worry about roaches, but stayed awake scratching. At this point, my daughter and I slept in the car! WHAT A WASTE OF $300. HOTELS.COM & American Best (Bishopville) PROFITED ON MY LOSS!!

The first room they gave me and my family was not right the sink was not working .... the bathroom didn’t look safe and not clean and one of the lights wasn’t working... but they did switch me and my family to a different room but the beds was very hard they wasn’t comfortable......

Room needs lots of work and bathroom was the worst. Bathroom had visible patches throughout the walls, burn marks all over the tub, toilet paper holding coming off the wall and holes I the bathroom door.

The staff was extremely friendly the property is in need of some remodeling but it is an older building. I am a hunter and do a lot of traveling I will definitely be staying there again due to the fact that it's 5 minutes from my property.

Clean and reasonable
Very clean hotel. Not a whole lot around in terms of food, you have to drive a few miles into town. Pretty quiet and right of the interstate.I was in the area for the NASCAR race at DARLINGTON. Hotel did its job for me just fine.

What a mess.
The mattress were in deplorable shape. On of the beds was broken, the room reeked of alcohol and the desk staff was lost. The commode in the bathroom was very low to the and hard for someone with bad hips to use. There was NO coffee for the coffee maker. But there was hot and good water pressure. I'm sure they make most of their annual income from race fans. I wish they would invest it and spruce the place and not just inflate their rates.

Although Expedia made the reservation a little confusing for the staff, they were ready and waiting when we arrived to check in. We talked about possibilities, and they did their best to accommodate us with the facilities available. The rooms were quite clean. I liked the refrigerator and microwave in each room, although we didn't need to use them on this trip.

No real complaints. The manager was courteous and the bed was clean -- that's all I asked for. The so-called "free breakfast," however, was sad, with tired-looking sweet rolls and a coffee machine; no juice.

Went to NASCAR races in Darlington and stayed at this Americas Best Value Inn. It was about 20 - 30 minutes from the race track along I 20. Nothing fancy but it was full of race fans. There was only a family type restaurant/gas station at this exit but it was closed when we were there. Fast food a few miles down I 20 at the next exit. Staff were friendly.

Great for the NASCAR race.
great for the race weekend in Darlington. 20 minutes from the track. rooms were clean and comfortable. not a 5 star but good for what we needed for the weekend. Good rate also when hotels really gouge on race weekends. Owner was very accommodating and friendly. Will definitely book this plce again next year.

It's ok, but proceed with caution.
It was a reasonable price and it was close to where I needed to be that weekend, and the lady at the desk was nice. The room was clean and comfortable. However, one of the main reasons I chose this one was because of the breakfast, and I did not see anywhere that would have had it, so Hotels.com needs to remove it from the amenities. Also, I didn't feel very safe there (like it was a step up from a drug motel.) Since I can't legally carry, I wouldn't feel comfortable coming back.

Awful place
This was a terrible hotel. There is nothing near the hotel, the rooms are all in some state of repair, there was no place to have dinner nearby. We ended up buying cheese and crackers from a grocery store and eating our room. To top it off the bed had bedbugs...we awoke covered in bites. A horrible experience.

This was a last minute room. We booked it through hotels.com and when we arrived the room was ready, the location was nice it was very quiet and that's great when you have two small children and for my husband and I we've been traveling all day heading to disney. The room was big, the bed was a California king size what can I possibly complain about? The room was very decent and fit into our budget.

Incredible value
This is a no-frills hotel. If you prefer fancy touches and little extras, this is not for you. However, this hotel provides incredible value for the price. It is clean, comfortable, quiet, and super convenient to the interstate. It had everything we needed, including friendly service at the front desk. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a coffee maker but no coffee or cups provided; we brought our own coffee and were gladly given cups on request--just take note if you are coffee addicts like we are. All in all, exactly what we needed at a great price.

A night stay to visit Pearl Fryar's Topiary Garden
Located right off the freeway. Noticed a couple of dogs around the parking lot, one had a hurt leg. Kind of scary if they came too close. The room had a coffee pot but they didn't provide any coffee. Luckily I had some that I had brought with us on our trip.
