"Staying at Madison’s Mountain Retreat was the perfect getaway and experience for my family. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the grounds. Anne’s warm welcome and knowledge about the animals was excellent and we all enjoyed feeding the Alpacas, Llamas & Goats. The indoor pool was great for a quick swim & we felt nice and cosy in the rustic cabin accommodation which had a lovely view of the alpacas and farm. We will definitely be back. "

"A cottage well off the beaten track. No TV and wifi for 2 nights. Then it rained and the cloud was low so sightseeing was out of the question. Spent the day blobbing out reading and DVD watching. Best possible place to spend a day doing this."

"It’s an amazing old hotel to visit and stay at. The art deco and nouveau styles are enchanting! Lots of rooms to explore and historic pictures and paintings to view. It’s like stepping back in time. Having a tea and scones by the fire was great on a cold afternoon."
