Quaint hotel in a good location for North End. The rooms are quite small, but perfectly adequate, and very clean.

Very convenient to North Station and easy walking distance to many sites around Boston. Our room was nice although the sleeper sofa was pretty flimsy. The elevator wasn’t working while we were there; the staff kindly moved our room to a lower floor so it wasn’t really a problem and also gave us some credit to use in the restaurant. This was also one of the most affordable rooms during April vacation week. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was friendly, but they were understaffed. My hotel room had a big crack in window and the fridge was quite loud. Room was clean. Rating would have been higher. However, I booked a hotel that was not quite as nice as it promised to be.

Elevator didn’t work, apparently 2nd time this week, had to carry bags five flights of stairs. Parking is at an inconvenient lot about a half mile away with no valet option.

The one-and-only elevator went down the day we arrived and was never repaired during our three day visit. This was an inconvenience. I asked the hotel to comp me for the inconvenience and they did! The front desk had no problem doing this. Further, a staff member followed up by email a few short hours after check out. Refund was all handled that day. For their caring and responsiveness I will give them another try and recommend others do the same. Other than the elevator the stay was lovely.

Arrived to the hotel elevator was down. I was on the fourth floor. Then was told there’s a private even going on couldn’t enter the area. Once I made it to the fourth floor there was a cleaning tray in the middle of the hall I had to squeeze past. I cancelled reservation booked somewhere else.

Stayed one night, very quiet and very convenient to TD Garden, bars and restaurants in the area. Only negative thing I have to say is that there is no Vallet parking parking, nor do they have their own parking area, but two close by lots charged $100 for the night.

Not a four star hotel. Rooms are tiny, one cramped elevator, essentially no staff in the restaurant. The one server in the restaurant smelled like marijuana and seemed high when my family was ordering (she asked my wife and I if we wanted to share a spoon) and had no knowledge about the items on the menu.

Check in was wonderful! I advised staff ahead of time we would be arriving early and asked to store our luggage. When we arrived we were personally greeted and a room was ready for us. The location is great! Easy access to the T station, many restaurants, and quick walk to TD Garden for Bruins game but out of the way of all the traffic. Would definitely stay again!

The good: This hotel's location is the best thing going for it. Located right around the corner from TD Garden, and within a short walking distance of the North End, Faneuil Hall, Boston Common etc. it's a no brainer choice if you're in town for an event or to see the sites. Although there is no onsite parking, the hotel works with a garage a couple blocks away to offer overnight parking at a discounted rate of $40usd/day. The hotel provides vouchers and charges you directly, which is one less thing to do when you leave. Outside of that the rooms are very compact, but offer very comfortable beds/linens and a decent size shower considering the size of the room as well as the basics like a mini fridge, iron and safe to help make the most of your trip. The room is also stocked with a variety of snacks/beverages, each with a hefty pricetag. The not so good: The rooms are LOUD. Whether it's noise from the street, the hallway or adjacent rooms you will hear all of it. The glass in our room's window was broken, the sheets had tears in them and the bath robe had a hole. This didn't ruin the stay, but not what you expect from a 4-star hotel. House keeping did a good job overall, but consistently missed food on the ground that was there before I checked in.

This is my second time staying at The Boxer and I won’t stay anywhere else when in Boston. Walking distance to TD Garden and North End is so convenient. Great staff who greets you with a smile and I’ve been able to check in early which is greatly appreciated. Keep up the amazing service!
