“Loved it!! And Great price!!”
We loved it! We had the cutest room on the second floor- (wedding room as it had old fashioned wedding photos and we were just married) pale quilts, high ceilings, small but adorable! Smashing bathroom too...new very large tub with jets and all new other fixtures. Loved the robes and decided to stay in and order out just to have a relaxing night. Full breakfast couldn't be beat either. Make sure to call and see if the restaurant is open- we missed it and it looked good. Can't wait to go back.
“A hidden treasure in Cambridge”
I was travelling alone in Boston to visit my daughter and found the Kendall on the internet. The Kendall was less than a minute walk to the T station, taxi stand, bus stop and about a twenty minute walk into Boston. You can certainly survive without a car. Eat in and take away food shops were the same distance away as the T so food and coffee were available opening early and closing late. An ATM machine was a couple of doors down. The Kendall itself was wonderful, from the welcoming fire in the lobby to the antiques scattered throughout the hotel adding old world charm and character to the hotel. The staff were brilliant, being helpful and delightful in every aspect of their job. The restaurant is open for breakfast (included in price) lunch and dinner. Although I only ate there in the morning (delicious), I believe the meals were good. Wine and meet the other guest nights are a nice touch Monday to Thursday nights. I rode the T home each night by myself and did not feel scared at all. The hotel being in such close proximity to the T was great when you emerged from the station. If I was ever to return to Boston I would love to stay at the Kendall again.
“TERRIFIC”
We loved this hotel for the price and would definitely go back. The free and easy accessible parking was great, although the close proximity to the T and the river make it easy to leave the car in place and travel by foot or T. The hotel was lovely. The room was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast and complimentary newspaper made for a pleasant morning. My only complaint was the room was too warm and we couldn't adjust the thermostat successfully.
“best bet”
this place is awesome. Great decor, free parking, nice breakfast.
“Going back in two weeks”
Excellent accommodations. Kendall MBTA station is a few steps away; it's one subway stop from Beacon Hill and two from Harvard Square. This charming hotel is great value for money.
“Hotel with alot of character”
The service, hotel and amenities were great!
“Perfect hotel”
My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights at this great hotel. Special rate through Expedia. We had a small room which was very nice -- clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. A welcome change of pace from the standard cookie cutter hotels. Free buffet breakfast is fantastic, even if a little chaotic at times -- a good start to the day. Parking is tight underground but we found a spot easily and left the car there the whole weekend. We commuted using the T-stop which is down the block. Overall very satisfied and would stay again.
“Excellent Boston Value”
The Kendall Hotel, which is located in an old fire station was a great little hotel, and definitely a delight. It is a 1 block away from the T, and a short T-ride into downtown Boston. Parking, internet, and breakfast were all included. GIven that it's nearly impossible to drive in Boston (unless you're local), the Cambridge location was ideal - not too far from the Mass Pike.
“Cambridge's best kept secret”
The Kendall hotel is an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the college town of Cambridge, MA. The lobby and restaurant are part of an old firehouse, while the rooms are located in a tasteful addition which is linked seemlessly with the original building. The breakfast buffet served in the morning is very satisfying. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean. You can't beat the location-next to MIT and the metro stop.
“Inexpensive, good quality Cambridge hotel”
The Kendall Hotel was extremely good value and centrally located to both downtown Boston and Cambridge (Harvard and MIT). Public transport was accessible.
