Nice but room for improvement
Stayed for two nights over a weekend and found it to be very quiet with not much atmosphere. The room was spacious. Locker however was over the other side of the room. Small kitchen available which could have been cleaner. Fridges available but both had a funny smell. Nice big common room available. Probably wouldn't stay again as it was a little overpriced for what it was.

Friendly service, good bed for the night
The hostel is quite basic but it's also centrally located, comfortable, spacious and the recceptionist/proprietor offered a very warm welcome. There's free tea and coffee, fridges in your room, and it's only a short walk to the main town square. I'd recommend this for a budget stay in Bratoslava.

Amazing stay!
The hostel was so spacious! Unlike other hostels that try to fit as many beds into the room as possible, this hostel really went the extra mile to have open areas in the hostel, they even added a couch in the room!

Home from home experience
Great host, helpful, freindly and full of local knowledge, Location excellent, short walk from all the main attractions and transportation. Very Clean and modern with all amenities needed (ear plugs Inc and can be useful on a weekend night). Felt more like a shared home rather than a hostel. Thank you.

A Hostel for some, a Hotel for others
Excellent location right next the old town with also easy access to public transports (tramways). Obchodna Ulica is a well known shops and trade street in the heart of Bratislava. The place is very comfy and reasonably priced, nothing of a luxury but you have a proper sleep plus a good hospitality. Wonderful staff at the reception. Coffees and teas available for all, all day at the lounge...have stayed there years back, enjoyed it then and enjoyed it lately. Will always go back for sure and I am in my 60s plus.

Hostel Folks was great! Very clean and modern hostel, it wasn’t very busy during my stay so it was nice and quiet the whole time. Large common room to hang out in. Showers had great hot water and water pressure. Towel and lockers included in stay! Definitely recommend this place. Thank u Rado for all the local recommendations!

One of my favorite hostels I've stayed in. Very laid back atmosphere, fantastic wifi and common space, very clean and well kept, and really nice staff. Much quieter than some of the other hostels in Bratislava, and in an unbeatable location. Would stay here again, and highly recommend!

Great hostel, with a friendly host
The room was clean and pretty comfortable, although a slightly thicker duvet would have been appreciated, it was warm though and the showers were especially good for both water pressure and temperature. Towels and ear plugs are provided in case anyone needs to know! Great local knowledge and very informative on check in. Rado also recommend that we do the free city tour (11:30am and 2pm every day) and this was brilliant. One thing to be aware of is that if you are out late you will have to buzz security to let you into the hostel and the front gate is locked at some point between 10pm and 1am. I'd definitely recommend staying here, fantastic location, great value for money and overall a really pleasant stay.

Excellent choice
Well managed and in a great location allowing for exploration of the new and old parts of Bratislava. Staff were always helpful and knowledgeable. We were sad to leave such a comfortable place.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at during my travels in dozens of countries! Go and see Rado - easily the best guy in all of Slovakia! He will take excellent care of you and all your needs! I was there as a digital nomad, so I needed perfect high speed wifi and a quiet space to conduct hours of video conference calls. Rado arranged a space for me so that I could work without interruptions. He also gave great city advice and I am so grateful for it! Hostel was super clean. Honestly these are the absolute most huge rooms I have ever seen in any hostel (or even hotel) anywhere! You will definitely not feel crowded here! Fabulous stay, highly recommended!

It is one of the best hostel I'd ever stay in my life. Nearby the old town, close to the palace, it is completely normal to receive a room upgrade!

Great hostel!
I was just here overnight with my daughter. We had a great experience. It would have been helpful to know beforehand that the entry is a bit indirect. We arrived late. The door led to a dimly lit hallway where a security guard who didn't speak English pointed us to the elevator that took us up to the floor where Hostel Folks is located. Once there, the staff were friendly, welcoming, informative, and efficient. The rooms are clean, modern, comfortable, and quiet. Great location - easily walkable to the Old City and to the well run bus system that connects you to everything else. After we checked out, they let us store our luggage in a locked room. And we were able to use their comfortable common room to wait for our later flight. When I asked the staff where I could find the art that they had in their reception area, he contacted the artist and filled me in on purchasing options. When her art proved to be in limited supply, he offered to let me buy something right off the hostel's walls! Really, they went above and beyond.

Freezing cold showers so stay sweaty or suffer!
I went into have a shower at 7.30 a.m. and the water was already cold! The hot water gets used up after one person having a shower (in the female showers) so I would advise only people who do not mind having freezing cold showers to book this hotel. Its just not worth it! Its also noisy with trams running 24/7 and the thump thump of the nearby nightclub so no sleep either!

Overall Very good. clean, spacious room. comfortable bed. helpful staff. fantastic location. the only downside was the pillows were terrible and I asked for a spare and they didn't have any. beyond that I cannot fault the place and would recommend it to anyone.

Bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless. Staff were extremely friendly. Great value for the price paid, I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Bratislava. Location was good with 15 minute walk from the station and 10 minute walk to the city centre.

Perfect location and Great Staff and Facilities.
A very nice place to base yourself in Bratislava. I spent a few days in the city and visited Devin Castle, Danubiana Gallery and several sights in the centre, but there was a lot that I just didn't get the time to see. Bratislava is an energetic city, with great hospitality and a fascinating history. The hostel was in a super location, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the beds and mattress were very comfortable too. It was a very good place to be based and I wouldn't hesitate to go back there. I met nice people at the hostel and enjoyed my time in Slovakia.

Great all rounder
Clean, modern and comfortable rooms with air conditioning. Great when it was so hot outside and you'd been walking all day. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Always had a smile. Very relaxed stay here with a big communal area to make tea/coffee and a small kitchenette.

Spotless hostel which was very quiet inside. Never had to queue for the shared bathrooms. Close to loud bars until 4am and the tram tracks so can be difficult to sleep when it's warm and the windows are open. Perfectly located for access to the old town and an easy 15 minute walk from the train station. Free tea coffee water biscuits and apples.

One downfall not enough toilets for the amount of people there and ran out of hot water twice in showers, aircon didn't work in room staff were aware of this but would be very unpleasant if to hot

I loved my stay at Hostel Folks-by far one of the best hostels I've stayed in during my travels. Staff is friendly, rooms are spotless and spacious, and the common rooms is trendy and so relaxing. If you go to Bratislava, you have to stay here!

Probably one of my favorite hostel in eastern Europe. Price is cheap, bed is nice and clean. Everything look new. Location is near the centre too. Staff helpful. I especially like there is big common area and kitchen. Because usually other hostels would rather make more room and beds but like space for common areas.

Very clean hostel
Very good location. Extremely clean for a hostel. Need to have lockers in 3 bedded rooms and keys for all occupants. I was told I had to leave my key at reception even though my room mate was not. I was told there would be someone else in the room and they would need the key but in the end no-one else turned up. Receptionist could offer a map and give some local Information when you check in. The maps were there on the desk and instead I had to ask for one.
