Overall I had an outstanding experience for nearly a month at the rate that I booked at. Exceptionally friendly staff and excellent cleaning services. The included breakfast was well above average. Not the most scenic setting, but easy enough to get elsewhere via the Metro Line 4.

The place is nice and the staff are very polite and helpful. Good location very close to the rail and bus station. Good breakfast. Just be aware, the rooms don’t include a lot of extras. No iron, no tea kettle

My room door got stuck at 11pm I couldn't have access to my room, staff was unable to help, took them one hour to figure it out and open the door, very terrible experience, not even an apology or follow up.

Dear Mohamed Salah, as per our records the door problem were solved as quick as possible, and I was looking forward to apology for the case on the following morning, hence I did not meet with you. However door were checked by maintenance and made sure of easy openings. As per got information from Expedia Customer Care, your visitor could not open the room door, and had unfortunate difficulty. Let me call your attention to the fact, that reservation was done for one person occupancy, meaning that in case guest has visitor, her/his allowance to the room rely on guest.

There was a nice interior to the hotel and it had a fabulous design - it was very colourful. The staff were very helpful, they gave me all the info I needed about transport and places to see, as well as keeping my bags for me when I went out on the last day. The rooms were cleaned very well and had nice TVs - they had lots of apps such as YouTube and games like 100 Pics, which was a delight for my children. The beds were comfy and there was lots of space for our clothes. The bathroom was also well equipped with what we needed during our stay. In addition, there was also a safe to store our things when we were out. The included breakfast was very nice, there was a range of food to choose from every single day, to fit what everyone needed - there was more than just the basic breakfast. Furthermore, the transportation, including trams, the underground, and buses, was very close to the hotel, we could walk there in the space of 5 minutes! The only thing I would change about the hotel if I could, would be for the room to have a microwave and kettle, but it did not affect our pleasant stay.

The hotel is located 5 minutes walking distance from the Metro and bus station. The room was clean with modern but relatively basic furniture. The building and the decoration are really modern and bright. Staff was always helpful and polite. Nice lounge area and 24h bar and reception services. Free coffee and tea point in the lounge. I had a pleasant stay with no issues. Good car parking area as well.

Overall the hotel was fine for me, but facilities were basic. Other than the breakfast room, there was no restaurant in it which was awkward given that I arrived in the late evening and was unable to get a meal there. And there are no other restaurants close by (at least not within walking distance). The hotel is a little outside the city centre but it's proximity to the Kelenfóld metro station is a big plus - very handy, it was only a few minutes walk. One other minor point is that there were no visible signposts for the hotel which my taxi driver thought was very strange.

This is a good hotel for exploring the Budapest area. It is very easy to get around using the Metro and or the surface trains. The rooms are comfortable and serviced daily. The breakfast is great. The staff are friendly and willing to help you.

The weather was amazing. The area is for people with cars, even though its near a tube line. no shops around. I didn't have my sheets changed the whole week and only after I complaint, they changed them. A couple of times I had to say that my room was not done. Breakfast was very comprehensive

Safe location, pleasant staff, clean hotel
I had a very pleasant short stay at Ibis Styles Budapest Citywest. Descent, safe location in Buda - 10mins walk from Kelenföld vasútállomás Station (however, be sure to come out the right exit). Approx. 10mins via Metro to City Centre or approximately 20mins bus ride (bus 8E) to City Centre (Astoria or Ferenciek Tere). Approx. 45mins for Airport Shuttle bus service (100E) to/or from Kálvin tér Metro. The room was a good space, and bright, however, no fridge/minibar provided. Coffee machine and water dispenser available at reception with an open bar. Receptionists were very helpful, friendly and check in was quick and easy. Overall, the hotel is relatively new, fresh with lovely colourful designs depicting Budapest throughout. I had a very good experience. Thank you Ibis Styles! Solo female traveller

New hotel with a convenient price
The hotel is new and looks very clean. People at front desk are very helpful and nice. We only had issues with the room because the one that was assigned first, had a strong smell you cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, they didn't have another double bed room, so the first night my wife and I had to sleep in different beds. The second night we were given a double room, though. But the room was not made for the third night. Although the hotel is not in the touristic zone, it's very well located at only 600 meters away from a main train, metro and bus station. We were able to move around the city using public transportation. Breakfast is also good and it has lots of options (fruit, bread, eggs, yogurt, cheese, ham, coffee, and juice).

Wow...what can I say. Amongst all other routine things that we usually experience in a hotel when we are on a vacation, this hotel adds-up an additional notch by its personal touch. Wonderful hospitality and gesture by the staff on our check-in. Even before we checked-in, we felt very comfortable thanks to the helpful and swift responses that we received on e-mails.etc. Mrs. Laura who is the Deputy GM of this hotel personally did her best in helping us with various things including tips to the do's and dont's of the city. Must say she's a gem of a person. She came down personally to welcome us on our check-in as well. About the hotel, again we didn't find much trouble with the cleanliness, breakfast, etc. It was all up to the mark. Laci at the Reception is also very helpful. Overall a very nice experience. We definitely recommend this property. Location-wise, though i read few comments that the hotel is located far from the tourist attractions of the city etc. but we found the entire city very nicely connected by the public transport services and hence we didn't find any problem in this regards. Kelenfold is the last station in the metro line M4 and last station for Tram number 49 & 19 from where the hotel is at a walking distance of not more than 5-7mins. Also, there's nice connection between the M3 and M4 metro lines as well as other Trams. The city Map really helps in travelling. Once again Thank you ibis Styles Citywest hotel for a wonderful experience.
