I did not like that the resource offered free transportation round trip from the airport and it never send a form for confirmation. I keep email the hotel and they could not send me a form to confirm my arrival and departure and finished expending $70 dollars in transportation. If the hotel offer a free round trip ride honor it. The room services is limited and the employees were unprofessional and disrespectful with the guest. The roomservices need to have a better menu for the guest that for a or b reason do not want to dine in the restaurant. The TV and the phone was not working in my room and I notivied the front-desk and nothing was improve. I visited the front-desk one evening to have information about computer for the clients to check the personal email and young lady was laughing in front of the guest when I was trying to request information. The front desk and the room services need training to provide good services to the guest.

The "manager" how answered the phone at the front desk was unprofessional. During that call, I asked for his first name and he refused to provide it. He stated that it is against company policy. I submitted an email directly to the Riu Kukulkan and the response I received did not address the issue. To top it off when I asked after checking out if employees are permitted the provide names over the phone, she said YES.

We had a great stay for our anniversary trip. This was our first time to visit Cancun and we made the right choice by selecting this hotel. Our hotel host Nacho was awesome and very friendly and accommodating. The entire staff were friendly and nice.

We just got home today after a five night stay. We have stayed at a RIU Resort before and enjoyed it. This being the newest one in Cancun we decided to try. The resort is very small with very little entertainment unless you bus off the resort to the RIU party’s which they promote extensively. The onsite entertainment when they do offer it is unfortunately just not that enjoyable. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the food was awful all five days. Now to the good parts, Roger at the lounge bar was extremely hospitable and made our stay memorable. He is an asset to this Resort. The pools and the beach area were beautiful, the walking distance to the mall was a huge plus.The property is gorgeous and the overall hospitality was five star worthy if they could improve in a few areas it would be a great place to visit again.

Overall this was a very nice property with outstanding staff, they were very friendly and hospitable. My check in was not a good experience, when I pulled up I had to bring my own bags inside versus bellman being there to help with your bags, there was no welcome drink, the front desk clerk didn’t go over the property with me, the arm band she gave me kept coming off and eventually I had to get a new one. But the Bellmen that help take my bags to the room went over the property with me, gave me a mini tour of my room and the functions. The food could be better, I’ve stayed on plenty of places in Mexico and this one food was subpar. I enjoyed the Mexican and Krystal restaurants. Steakhouse was ok and the Italian was the worse of them all. The bars were nice the food selection at the buffet was good and the drink were top shelf depends on your status. My room was supposed to ocean front but I had a partial view of the oceans but it didn’t bother me too much. The beach couldve been better with the sea kelp, some days they cleaned it up and others days it wasn’t. Please work on the entertainment portion of this resort, it was very lack luster. The party at RIU Carbie was fun but it was promoted was too much and kind of took away from what was happening at Kukulcan. Like I said I enjoyed my stay but this resort could use some improvements.

I enjoyed my 5-night stay at RIU Palace Kukulkan very much. It is located in the Hotel Zone right across from a mall, restaurants, and other shops. The resort was on the smaller side, which I prefer, and it was maintained beautifully - common areas and my room were spotless. Pools were too as I saw staff cleaning them daily. The buffet - especially breakfast - was very good. Room service options are limited, but food was fine. Restaurants were good too with an array of different cuisines. The staff was the stand-out as everyone was very cordial, pleasant, and helpful. The beach was absolutely beautiful, even with a little bit of seaweed. There was a constant breeze on the beach and at the pool. I upgraded to the Elite Club and stayed in room 1007. Views were amazing and the room was very comfortable. I would stay here again, and I wholeheartedly recommend the resort.

Pros: Location was great! Beach is gorgeous. Not far the airport & directly across the street from the mall and a few higher end restaurants. This is not a party resort at all but I vacation for relaxation only so it was perfect for me. Every staff member I encountered was extremely courteous, kind & helpful. Beach was beautiful however there was a lot of seaweed but this may be dependent on the time of year you visit. Plenty of beach chairs & umbrellas. Very spacious beach area. Actually this was the first resort I didn't have to wake up at sunrise to get a good spot. Ive been to Cancun about 10 times. I got out around 11am....plenty of seats. Servers on the beach were very kind & attentive. No issues getting a drink at all!! Cons: The beds are not the most comfortable but you will survive. Ask for extra blankets!! The covers are very thin & you will get chilly at night. Wasn't a fan of the panhandling on the beach. Just makes it hard to relax with people stopping every few minutes to sell you something. But I also understand people have to make money. Was absolutely terrified of the man walking around with the large snake!!!! Not everyone is comfortable with wild animals....please keep him away from guests!!! Okay....the food. Im not a picky eater at all. However I found the restaurant food to be bland....I tried them all. Add salt to taste & chew. Again, you'll survive! The buffet was great.....plenty of choices & staff was kind.

We arrived at the resort for 5 days at 1030 am. Our room was ready at 115 pm. They had put our bags in a holding area, until the room was ready. We had lunch and walked around the resort, waiting to get in our room. This was our 6th visit to the Cancun area, and it was above average temperature for the whole week. It felt like 100 degrees, due to the humidity. We spent most of the time in the pool or ocean, due to the heat. Nightime entertainment was good, but it also felt like 90 at night. The restaurants were good, and the deinks were cold and plentiful. We attended the "white" party at one of the sister resorts, which was pretty neat. We visited 2 sister resorts duringbour stay, and we both agreed that we liked this one the best This was our first time at a RIU property, and we enjoyed it, and plan to stay at one again.

We stayed at the Riu Palace Kulkulkan because it's an all adults inclusive resort and one of the newest resorts. There are few things we were disappointed with like the pools closing too early at 6pm. The different restaurants offer of food were not special compared to the buffet restaurant. Due to an all inclusive resorts, food from the restaurant were not allowed to be served at the beach or anywhere outside of the restaurant. Activities were limited within the resort. We only walked 2-3 blocks to the mall and noticed that there weren't hardly any tourists because Cancun it's not safe and booming like it used too before covid. Pretty much all shops were closed and only a few locals at these places.

Resort was very clean, rooms up to date. The ocean views were beautiful. 4 pools with one swim up bar. Food was a 7/10. It’s a Buffett for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but property also has 4 or 5 different restaurants that open up at dinner time. Staff was very polite and friendly. Will stay again.
