Rooms are very small but are fine for a one night stay before or after a flight. Lots of hot water. Soundproofing is not great. Staff very helpful. Shuttle to airport was R160 for 2.

I had an excellent one night stay at this hotel prior to an early morning flight. I chose this hotel primarily for location and cost and it absolutely did not disappoint! The bed was comfortable, the air condition worked well, wifi was password protected and signal was extremely strong, I appreciated the flatscreen tv, electric kettle and tea/coffee making supplies (with milk and sugar included) for my early morning departure! I walked to and from the airport - it took me 15 minutes - and it was easy to find my way! Staff were friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with! Excellent stay, and absolutely would stay here again!

I've stayed here once before and always appreciated how easy and affordable this place is. However, my pillowcases had mysterious orange-ish stains on them, which was gross. It left me wondering how old the stain was, and why a stainless sheet was not provided. It was quite pronounced, so it's not hard to miss. Besides that, however, it was lovely again. Thank you!

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was very close to the airport, in the morning we could walk to the car rental area to get our car and continue our journey. Really good value for a quick overnight stop.

I wanted a place to be able to get to quickly after arriving from the airport so that I could take the rest of the day to sleep after being on a 14 hour flight. The convenience and low cost made this place the perfect option. Plus a $6 breakfast buffet the next morning was the cherry on top. Clean space and nice staff. If you are looking for a vacation experience, this is not for you. The rooms are small. But if all you need is a place to lay your head and quick access to the airport, I recommend. Other reviews mentioned the noise, so I was hesitant to stay here. But for me personally I found it to be very quiet.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. It was a very convenient location to the airport (walking distance). Rooms should provide more bathroom toiletries- shampoo, conditioner, body wash. I had to ask at the front desk for a hair dryer. Reminder- breakfast ends at 9:00 (not 9:30 as we were told). When we showed up at 9:04, we were refused. But as an overnight stay after a very long day of travel, the hotel did the job just fine.

First impression was that a 3.5/5 rating is fair. The communal areas are a little run down (old carpets and just a little TLC). However, the room was clean, clean new bedding, comfortable bed and soft puffy pillows gave me a good night sleep, which is rare on my first night anywhere. Reception, dinning area and yard are nicely kept. However there is still this feeling of "incompleteness" (no tv remote, have to use your phone to call reception etc.) compared to higher rated places. I think 3.5 to 4.3/5 is fair and the value for money is very good compared with other places in the same bracket! I will come again. A filter coffee in the dining area will be a good improvement.

Perfect to stay over after a long flight or flights that leave early. Safe parking. No lifts but stairs are spacious. Will stay again for the price and location.

Best Value and food is prepared per menu!
The Road Lodge Capetown Hotel is at the exit gate of the Capetown airport. The hotel has a dining area and prepares the food as ordered on the menu. We stayed at the hotel to spend the time between the cruise disembark time and the late night flight of the same day. Chose a main floor room because there is no elevator.

I was very pleased with the hotel and the price I paid. The common spaces, lobby, restaurant etc are very attractive. Front desk staff was welcoming and efficient. I got the room I had booked. Rooms are small and dated, but very clean. Everything functioned correctly - A/C, hot pot, tv, drapes, sink stopper - that in itself is an accomplishment. A luggage stand was the only thing lacking - the small work desk is the only flat surface in the room so I had to put the suitcase on the floor. The airport is literally across the street. I would stay here again.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. The room was clean, very basic and simple and quiet. The lodge does not have a shuttle service. City Hopper service is all you need. Very close to the airport. I will definitely stay here again.

The location across the road from the airport parking lot is super convenient. I had no qualms walking there in the late afternoon as a 70 yr old single lady. Parking lot attendants pointed the way to me.

Good hotel close to the airport
Perfect place for an overnight stay so close to the airport. We landed late at night so it was great to just get into a fresh clean room and have a good night's sleep. I'd stay again
