Very good location to explore the region of Catalonia not just Barcelona city
Nice area. Close to the sea. Good transportation.
Castelldefels is lovely. Huge beautiful beach, wide level promanade, lots of places to eat, plenty for families. We stayed on the quiet beach end of Castelldefels, away from the main tourist bits which were busier, if you pubs and clubs go that end.
