Staying in Challis was safe and quiet. The Red Rocks Lodge did have plenty of parking available. Hallways and rooms have plenty of space since it appears the hotel was originally an assisted living space or something similar. Staff availability was limited when I arrived, and I did have to wait to check in. Dining and grocery options in Challis can be limited, but the Challis Roadhouse does have an excellent salmon entree. It's probably a good idea to stock up on produce before coming to Challis.

Cozy hotel in the quaint little town of Challis. Good proximity to the Sawtooths if other places closer are not available. Would return and recommend!

Excellent experiance! Very friendly staff, rooms are very clean, spacious. Very cleen and large bathroom. I would have spend twice the amount to stay here. Ill be booking here again!!

I was happy it was just for one night. I could hear word for word the conversations of guests in one room and the dialogue from the TV in the opposite room. Conversations in the hallway in the morning woke me up. Paper thin walls.

Red Rock Lodge is set among the mountains which do indeed have beautiful reds in the rocky areas! Parking near the door, easy in & out, wide hallways lined with lovely professional prints of the local scenery and spacious rooms with pretty views out the windows. A social area near the entrance is neatly arranged with nice leather sofas and a double fireplace. The staff was especially accommodating and super friendly. We would most definitely stay there again!!
