Out of the comfort zone into the.......
Nice stay. No issuses to say of. This was a new experience for myself. The mystery of the adventure leads me try it again. A previous owner/operater of a bed and breakfast in my home city in Wisconsin, I'd advise other travelers to try Wrigleyville Hostel. If for no other reason stay and see a cubs game. I went to see TD at the Metro.

This place is in a excellent area. Lots to do in a short walk with a price that is hard to beat. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

You get what you pay for staying at a hostel but I still expected at least somewhat more comfortable beds and didn’t expect to have to deal with a fly infestation. Great place to meet new people and the staff is great.

Great staff…very courteous and helpful. Private room has A/C and was very clean. If you are seeing a game or a concert at Wrigley Field, you can’t beat the location.

Good stay but an issue
Was a great place to stay and the location was near a metro station which is always helpful. However, there was a thief on the property as someone "lost" their phone when I was there and I myself lost my reserve phone too so I can't see this being a coincidence. I have contacted the property about this but they have not bothered to reply.

Great place to crash when you're exploring Chicago
The hostel is a quick walk from the Red Line, Wrigley Field, and Boystown. There's round-the-clock staff and secure access to the building and the rooms. I felt totally safe walking in the area at any time of day or night.

Great location, but filthy property. Shared bathrooms were revolting and never cleaned. My room was dirty — contained garbage from previous guests and sheets were unwashed. Mystery fluid stains on walls. Inflexible policy on changing reservation cost me hundreds of dollars. Avoid this place at all costs unless you’re looking for an overpriced and filthy “Animal House” experience.

Very good experience! Nothing like a hotel, first time going to a Hostel. The rooms were clean and the facility had a couple of activities through to do and meet other people. Bathrooms was a bit rough since we had to share with other guests. Overall, great experience! Local to a lot of bars and restaurants! Only a 20 minute drive to downtown Chicago as well! Elliot was a good host as well, provided us with all the amenities throughout the whole night.

The air conditioner was unsafe to plug in to outlet due to faulty plug taped up. A ceiling fan would have been helpful, and a night light plugged into an outlet in the room. Towels and washcloths should be available in the room not in the office.

Great location for Wrigley Field events
It was a great location for our event at Wrigley field. It was expensive for what you get, but location great and very convenient. Staff was very nice. Had the private room, was in acceptable condition, dresser was old and broken (not a big deal), bed was comfy, very soft, some dirt under bed. Bathrooms clean enough, one sink clogged. Its a little run down (compared to a hotel), but acceptable, room was secure and it wasnt loud and other guest were cool too. Off site, street parking with a permit, so if theres an event in the neighborhood it can be difficut to find a spot, but it only took us a few trips around the block to find one. Great neighborhood, no problems with street parking otherwise.

I didn’t like that there wasn’t free parking when on my room it said free parking. We didn’t find out until we got there that we have to call two days in advance.

I am so happy to hear you were able to take advantage of our parking passes and location. As for the booking terms, our policy is non-refundable for all reservations made through Expedia. This is clearly described as you make the booking. If you need a flexible policy I encourage you to read the terms and conditions prior to reserving a room at any hotel/hostel.

I'm not really mad because I had a heavy rolling bag and it was allot of stairs but the service lady was extremely rude and told me the rooms were all sold out, as new people were coming in and getting rooms. She was biased against me and it was very noticable. Why? Dunno probably because I had a rough very rough day traveling and didn't smell as nice as she thought I should who cares when I saw those stairs and could hardly get in the doorway I was like whatever and left.

A Great Example For Hostels Everywhere!
The friendliest reception with zero snafus during the check-in process!!!! The manager Eda was so warm and welcoming she made you feel like family after a long trip!!! The rooms and the entire place was spotless and even the common areas were clean and quiet every time of day!!!! Would highly recommend for anyone traveling!!!

Very homely, great service, great location. If you want to park there secure a pass after you make the reservation so you don't forget. They need 48 hours notice.
