Booked small room first as budget hotel. Very weird noisy, and they changed the room. After changed, heater and hot water not working. Shower with cold water in 1 degree. Changed the room again, no charge to bigger room. Finally heater and hot water working and no noisy. 3 times changed, breakfast was normal, location is okay and convinience.

Room: Clean, functional and very small. As every one else has mentioned, the room is about the size, maybe smaller, of the smallest suite on a cruise ship. I understood this due to other reviews and was not surprised by the size. We only stayed 1 night so, the room worked as a place to sleep for a few hours snd nothing else. Area: On a high note, the area has some great options for dining

The downstairs restaurant has a vibe and great food! The rooms were cosy but asking a customer to pay extra to have a window view of the parking lot is a joke. I couldn’t even open it as the blind had no security feature where I could look out and nobody look in. They do have a nice gym, very modern.

The room is way too small for 2 people. That should be a room for one person only. The bathroom is very crammed that barely fit one person inside. The location is great, within distance of a lot of restaurants and shopping area. There’s no parking on site but we was able to park on a street across from the hotel for free until 9AM

Used the hotel as a place to stay during a famiky members operation at Christchurch Hospital. Made it an easy walk or Uber. Parking at the hotel is very limited with first in first served. Would be nice if there was nore flexibility for breakfast room service even if a limted menu as that would have made our last morning easier as they werent in a position to sit in the dining area. Anyway yes id stay there again. We had a room on top floor.

I like the location and distance to all things Christchurch Central. The room was very small and not cleaned very well with the bathroom door covered in marks, the bed frame had a layer of dust and the sink had stains.

Not too bad for a three star but quite expensive for what you get. Fairly tired rooms which are tiny with no windows or natural light so a lower price point would be more realistic. Friendly staff and good location.

Great Hotel in the middle of Christchurch nice restaurant and bar. If you’re a big guy like me the rooms are fairly small but fine for a quick stay.

My hubby and I had a fantastic one night stay at the Breakfree hotel and really enjoyed it!We absolutely loved the cute and cozy room,the only one negative was the air conditioning was a tad annoying.Big thanks to Keith at reception for making our stay a bit more special!Many thanks!

Great place stayed twice in our holiday to NZ. Great property . Only downfall is they charge $25 for parking . And the parking is limited and can be full. We parked on the street after 8pm for free but have to be gone by 7am as it’s metered. Great accommodation just make sure you get a room where you can walk around the bed. Rm 224 was like being in a closet . We stayed in 323 which was considerably bigger and same price. Overall would recommend clean modern and as central as you can get.

We liked the hotel on our first night we stayed in rm 224 it was a shoe box . Our second stay was rm 323 much better . 224 was so small you could not walk around the bed. But overall a great place would recommend .

Great location. Just be aware that some rooms are just a step up from a hostel. Small rooms that are very tricky for more than one person. Was clean and very affordable.

Very good space. I stayed in an internal room for two nights. It was very comfortable given the space and although small was very well played out There was a sound that was like hearing loud air conditioning in next room. This may not impact others but I wore earplugs to reduce the vibration noise I would stay in similar rooms going forward
