The property was impressive with the room being quite a good spec. Huge windows offered a lovely view of the lake area and the stand up fan offered relief from quite a stuffy evening. There were some quality amenities and facilities on site too. The parking was ample but even the closest areas required a sizable walk to reception and that is including the disabled parking bays. The biggest disappointment for me was the dining experience. I ordered a starter and main. The starter took a while to get to me and once finished, it took another 30 minutes for the main to arrive which was quite frustrating as I was hungry once sat down. I appreciate it may have been busy but I still think the service could have been improved upon. Breakfast was set up nice and I was shown to a table before participating in the buffet. The food was quite tasty and well cooked but it was overshadowed by the so-called apple juice which had this awful metallic aftertaste which lingered long on the palate and detracted from the taste of the food just consumed. Overall everything was pretty good but the dining meant this review lost out on a star which otherwise would have been a 5 star experience.

Excellent value through Expedia. Staff were really friendly and the room was a good standard. Only thing we’d change is the curtains which didn’t block out the light.

It’s right on the water and it’s walkable. The room is a standard room, but the bed is comfortable and clean. The price is reasonable for the area. The Buffett breakfast is ok.

Extremely lovely hotel with helpful staff Restaurant disappointing for dinner, burger dry, overcooked such a shame, so will definitely stay here again but will avoid restaurant for dinner

Room 207 was not serviced after our first night and had to visit reception twice before action taken. Second night pulsating, very loud music from the bar went on until 00.45 despite request to reception at midnight to reduce noise. Room not air-conditioned so opening window allowed in mosquitos from lake. Bathroom appeared to have no mechanical extraction of condensation. The bathroom door could not be kept open unless jammed, eg with chair, and it slammed shut very loudly. Very poor level of lighting in the room. The most positive things we can say are that the room was a good size with comfortable beds and generous breakfast provisions.

Loved the hotel estate, very beautiful. Swans gliding in the lake outside the hotel room made a fantastic start to the day. Breakfast was enormous and we could take our time with it. Fantastic holiday for the family.

Not much to do in the area, I do think £30 per dog is abit too expensive although was given a bed/bowl & towel for the dog. Wasn’t given food or treats as stated when booking. Room definitely needed a fridge, other then that couldn’t fault the place lovely complex Thankyou

Didn't like the pillows in room. Too soft, though didn't complain. Breakfast was good. But food in other venues around property were not to our liking. Overall would come again and recommend to others.

Good size room - needs refurbishing as lots of paint chips/marks etc. Shower door odd 1 even when fully shut, ad gaps and leaks occurred!! Shame the pool is only available to people who book spa treatments 😞

Great location large clean rooms. Ours had a balcony overlooking a small inlet off the lake. However, their insistence on sticking to breakfast sittings at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 or 9:30 even when quite is very inconvenient. It also means that food prepared for one sitting is still left out for the next one or two, one or two hours later. As a result, our eggs were like rubber and bacon barely edible as it had hardened like plastic and the sausage had developed hard thick skins! A real shame because clearly the food is good quality just left far too long under the heat lamps causing it to plasticise.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Lovely pool/spa. Great buffet breakfast. Menu in the restaurant did not really match the quality of the hotel. Wine was expensive, but good.

Wasn’t quite what we were expecting, it was busier than we thought or imagined but it was half term I guess and it’s good to see business booming. Nice big comfy bed and lovely bedding. Nice breakfasts too.

This was our second stay at this hotel. It will be our last. From chick-in, rooms not all ready on time, to having to wait for 40 mins to get a drink from the bar and only when we chased it up, the service wasn't great. We were overcharged fro breakfasts - should have been six but charged for nine - our key card didn't work and had to keep recharging it. Also, what a cheek to ask to pay £10 to use the spa when it is supposed to be part of the package. The only reason we chose to stay here was because it allowed dogs. Our room wasn't serviced either. All in all, a hugely disappointing stay.

Foyer was lovely- loved the plants and the dogs! Bed was SO hard we barely slept but otherwise lovely buffet breakfast, pizzeria was fab and walks were really nice- very flooded due to the time of year so lots of laughs going through deep areas and slippery parts. Definitely recommend wellies rather than walking boots!!

The property and its surroundings were beautiful. It was easy to find and the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast in the Brasserie - both meals were delicious and the service was brilliant. We could not fault the staff in the brasserie and their hard work. In the room, we pleased with the updated bedroom and lovely decoration. However, the bathroom seemed a bit dated with some bubbling paint on the ceiling and touch-ups needed in many places. In the bedroom window, there was black mould in the corners/on the skirting board below which definitely needed seeing to. Overall, we were very happy with the stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

Advertising a pool, but only when you arrive do you find out that you can only use if someone in your party is getting a spa treatment. Room was large but for the price it felt uncared for and in need of a refresh, views across a car park rather than lakes were really disappointing. Breakfast was good and restaurant had fabulous outlook across the lake, but overall disappointing and would not recommend.

Great place for work or leisure
I am so glad that I stayed here, everything was perfect. Pretty, well appointed and friendly staff. I booked last minute and arrived early, they accommodated this and my dog, allowing us to check in early. There was lots of fussing for him and dog treats too, that wins points from me! The facilities are lovely, restaurant, bar, gym, spa, pool, steam room we tried them all … a surprise as it was a business trip… The sauna was broken but that didn’t really spoil things. We definitely will return.

It was iverall good but its a it overpriced in the restauarnts. Me and my 6 yearscold soent £85 at dinner. £13 per glass of wine was expensive

Relaxing stay
