“THE GOOD, BAD AND UGLY”
ONLY HAS VALET PARKING WHICH IS A PAIN AS ON 1 TIME THEY HAD A "LOT IS FULL SIGN OUT FRONT", SO HAD TO PARK IN A PUBLIC LOT 2 BLOCKS AWAY. ALSO 1 DAY WE DID NOT GET OUR NEWSPAPER--THEY RAN OUT AND TOLD ME I COULD WALK 3 BLOCKS AND BUY ONE. MY WIFE ORDERED ROOM SERVICE, IT NEVER CAME SO SHE CALLED AND IT WAS READY, NO ONE HAD BOTHERED TO BRING IT UP. THE FIRST DAY, HAD TO GET MAINTENANCE TO ROOM TO SHOW ME HOW TO TURN ON LIVING ROOM LIGHTS. ALL SORTS OR TRICKS NEEDED. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, THE ROOM WAS CLEAN , SUPER BED TO SLEEP IN AND THE STAFF WAS REALLY NICE AND FRIENDLY.
“Good Stay”
Checked in at 12:30 am and the staff was great. Room was clean, pool was clean, staff was friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
“Great Hotel”
I love this hotel just wish the staff was a little better in terms of supplies other than that this is a very good hotel. I give them a -A
“Overpriced for what you get.”
In a hotel with non-opening windows - you better make darn sure the airconditioning is working. It is not my job to be your HVAC engineer. A bit stingy with the soap - so make that shampoo last. Web site "boats" sic of $10 valet parking when it turns out to be $15/ per day. Ice machine on 9th floor is missing. Great neighborhood - easy commute to the city.
“Stay”
Room was clean and well kept. Some of the common areas; elevators, corridors, etc were not kept up as well. Their advertisements state pool and sauna, and there is only a pool.
“Bad housekeeping, otherwise a nice stay.”
Hotel staff was nice. The housekeeping was terrible though. If they came very early in the morning and we asked for them to come back an hour or so later, they forgot about us until we had to call them at night after we got back into the room as saw it was still not done.
“Not what I expected.”
Parking was a large problem due to you HAD to valet park. It was extremely hard to get in and out of the garage because of location directly to a busy street. Upon arrival at the hotel, our room was not ready ( it was 6:30 PM), we were then ask if we would mind a handicaped room. (we had made our reservations 6 weeks in advance for a suite) We were told there was no other rooms available. After we went to our room, I called and ask for the manager, I told him the situation we encountered and he immediately found us a room that was what we had reserved in the first place. Of course, we then had to make the move to the new room. No help was offered. This was all after an eight hour flight and all we wanted was to relax an start enjoying our vacation. This was not the way I expected to be treated. We will not stay there again. I have always enjoyed the Double Tree Inn, but I will check them more closely in the future.
“Disappointed”
AC Was not properly working so the room was very warm when we returned late in the evening. Shower lever was faulty which made it difficult to get full shower pressure. Maintenance of room was dissappointing.
“Rooms are tiny!”
I was there on business and ended up here because the hotel I normally stay at was booked. Although this was $70+ more per night the room was are smaller - not enough power outlets - only one within easy reach - which was on the lamp at the desk. The bathroom was tiny- no counter space and ad to navigate around the door to close it. Breakfast came without the ordered milk and sausages. Water for tea was luke warm.
