We had booked twin beds for a night that cost €103.53. Instead we were given a tiny room with a double bed because they supposedly had no twin bedrooms left.
The room smelled damp, and the mismatched furniture was depressing. There was an old poster of "Out of Africa" hung on the wall, because nothing screams safari like Cork.
It was cold because the heater was not working. The woman (who was not the manager) at the reception was kind enough to give us a tiny electric heater, and it's thanks to it that we didn't die during the night.
The bathroom also had a bad smell, and the tub's drain stopper was removed to ensure we would not be able to enjoy a bath.
On on our way out, we noticed the maid was cleaning a much nicer room with twin beds and nicer furniture, Unsurprisingly, that room had been given to Irish people.
