“davaos best and i can recomend it to lot of my friends which they really want to go”
this been the best vacation i had ever have and i will be back same hotel, all are so friendly at the hotel, food are really ok no douht about it and what i want is the view by the beach that i had never been seen on my whole life
“Waterfront Insular Hotel”
The Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao, Philippines may not be considered a five star property, but what makes this hotel feel like a five star hotel is the staff. I have been staying there for the two years I have been traveling to Davao and have never been disappointed on any level. Reserve a pool view room to wake up and go to bed with the ambiance of what the Philippines has to offer. Take full advantage of their expansive breakfast buffet and enjoy either Cafe Uno or Pizziaiolo restaurants or order their fare from room service. In either case, in all cases, you will enjoy your stay.
“Waterfront Insular”
Far from town. Great grounds. On the water but no real beach. Water fill with trash from nearby city creek / drainage run off.
“Cool Sea Breeze and Soothing Waves”
The Pirata Bar at the jetty has a great view of the Davao Gulf. The cool sea breeze and the soothing waves are just great. The grilled food at La Parilla is good.

“Waterfront Insular Davao”
Nice hotel. Complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent - they had pastries that were just right out of the oven - my husband ate a lot of those! The restaurant attendants were great!!!
“Pleasant surroundings”
Quite an old hotel sitting in its own spacious grounds. View of Samal Island from the beach front, though the beach is not really useable or advisable for swimming as it is sharp rocks/stones and not sand. Deep swimming pool, but not enough shady places to sit (4 only). Attentive staff. Rooms are comfortable and airy - hardly needed the air-con most of the time. Breakfast ok, though they charge for any tea other than the ubiquitous Liptons Yellow Label that infests the planet. Meals are expensive by Philippines standards though reasonable by Western standards and pocket. No safety box in the room, though there is at the front desk. No free internet and use of same is expensive by any standards - should be free these days. Took ages to check out as we had been double charged for a couple of items, so check your bill! Allow 2 hours minimum to get through the Davao airport queues and bureaucracy, even on domestic flights.
“Paradise found”
Our 2 week stay at the Waterfront Insular Hotel was so wonderfull. I can't say enough about the staff there. They are so friendly and so eager to accomodate our every request. The only minor flaw is the condition of the furnishings... the furniture is a little worn and needs to be replaced, but is still in functional condition. This is only a minor flaw and would not prevent me from staying again. The condition of the common areas of the hotel and the grounds is superb. The gardens are so well maintanied and the hotel has a very relaxing and calming atmosphere. It is located far away from the street, so you don't get all the traffic, exhaust, and noise of the other hotels located directly on the street. Both my girlfriend and I love this hotel and would happily stay again.
“Our Favorite Hotel in Davao”
We have stayed at this hotel several times in the las 2 years. The people they are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are large and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept and we always enjoy walking around them. We always book a room with the free buffet which is wonderful. The only drawback is that the hotel is about 20 minutes from the malls and there does not seem to be much to do around the hotel. It is close to samal island though if you want to get adventurous.
“No Wherewithall with staff, yes you and don't act”
The hotel and its property is beautiful, we even witnessed a wedding while swimming in the pool, that's how beautiful & clean the hotel is. Staying only one full week, we were told that we could stay in the same room the entire week, but instead we had to move twice (we were there for a medical mission which was the 2 days in the middle of our stay). Then our room key wouldn't swipe 3X, front desk said it's my fault with the cell phone, the one I didn't have. It also happened to another friend in a different room. Whenever I'd ask the front desk a question they'd respond "yes", but no follow through, Pretty infuriating, chalked it up to the workers probably not being worldly travellers.
