During our stay here, my Wife had written a review of a not so good experience at the hotel and with the travel agency, Sigra Tours. To our surprise, an executive assistant manager approached us the next morning to find out more. She chatted with us and attempted to empathise and better our stay at the hotel. However, we did not have a good feeling about her as she had an air of arrogance and came across as very insincere.
The following days were not any better as we both felt like every staff were made aware of us and we had many of them checking in with us a lot. This made us feel very conscious and uncomfortable. Although we appreciated the hotel's efforts to do something about our feedback, it was very obvious that there was more concern about the rating of the hotel.
The hotel in itself is beautiful, the room and bed was comfortable, the food was delicious and most of the staff were very friendly and polite.
On surface it does come across as an excellent hotel, in some ways it is. But there were several things that made me question if it really was a 5 star hotel:
- The air conditioning was set at a default temperature. So even if we reduced it, it went back to 25 degrees. The technician had to be called twice before he came to the room. He shared that it was a server issue but the issue was not resolved. We were also not updated about the outcome of the technician inspection.
- The room smelled bad whenever the electricity was not on. Had to wait for the air fresh
