"We were welcomed with big smiles and fresh complimentary juices. Our room was upgraded without additional fees. Good variety of breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mendis & Sudish who work at Breeze Restaurant. The hotel and surroundings are very neat, also easy access to the beach. Near to seafood restaurants. Excellent service throughout the stay. Totally recommend!"

"The hotel is one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. I have been to this hotel as a child and it was a fantastic hotel back then but now its gone down so much! The room was dirty and had a terrible smell.The room looked like it wasn't clean for years. We complained to the manager and he move us to another room and it was also very dirty and my partner showed the manager the dirty parts of the room and the manager agreed that the room is not clean. "Clean property and room, walking distance to the beach. Also we had a good view from the balcony (partial sea). Very nice and accommodating staff. Suresh and Shami were very helpful. Good quality food and portion size (we didn't know that breakfast was included so I suggest checking with them beforehand). Only downside was that there were ants in our room but the staff cleaned the room promptly when we notified them. A minor thing - water pressure in the shower was low so if possible fix it."

"Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! "The resort is the labor of love of Chamal the owner. 9 private and beautifully done villas set in the middle of nature. We had lunch and dinner everyday in the restaurant by the river. Loved the property, service was warm and friendly and seafood was superb. Great find!"

"Ho prenotato per una mezza pensione ma al nostro arrivo ci hanno detto che non era inclusa.Posto molto rumoroso,da un lato dava sulla strada e dietro la stazione ferroviaria,le finestre erano prive di vetri.Dalle 22 tutti venivano chiusi dentro e non c'era modo di avere la chiave per uscire.L'unica cosa positiva che la stanza era bella spaziosa e pulita."

"Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! Very good service, excellent breakfasts & evening meal. There is a train line running along the bottom of the garden and the train clanks along it every hour or so. We loved the quirkiness of it. Its a gorgeous, peaceful sanctuary. Beautiful beach is just over the railway line. There are bars along the beach to the left for a lunchtime wander & food, and also great places to eat along the beach to the right in Bentota (or short tuk-tuk ride). I would happily come back here anytime!"
