"Turned up, welcoming staff. Lovely big room and the most comfortable bed with excellent quality bedding. An amazing position on the edge of Windermere. Walking distance to shops, pubs, restaurants and access to boat rides on the lake. The hotel was full of character a real gem."

"Woodlands was welcoming on arrival. Room was comfortable and clean with usual kettle, coffee, tea. Good size tv. Breakfast was really good. Great choice of cold and hot food (cooked perfect). Nothing is too much trouble. Close to shops etc. Would definitely stay again in this great location."

"Amazing stay, room we had hadn’t been refurbished but it was fine, bathroom clean and great shower. Tea coffee and biscuits very welcome. Friendly staff. Perfect location for the town centre. Lovely hot breakfast with toast tea or coffee all made fresh. Just one point the single beds are bit too soft on the edges and you could easily fall out. Will definitely return Thankyou for a great stay. Didn’t have eve meal at the Hotel so can’t comment on that."
