The staff was very friendly, attentive and always willing to assist. The food served was delicious, and I don't think there was anything we disliked! "Great location for the beach in Morne Rouge... basically a 20 metre walk away.. Small apartment-type accommodation with cooker and fridge. Decor is a bit dated but spotlessly clean. Large balcony area looking out to sea (over a couple rooftops). Super helpful and friendly staff. There is a beach bar restaurant which is part of the complex and another independent one next door which a has a bit more choice. For self catering there is a supermarket about 25-30 mins walk away. Overall we loved it...

"We stayed at the Mermaid Beach Hotel over the Christmas period. Jude our host was wonderful and I cannot speak more highly of her. However, we were very disappointed with the property itself. We booked this hotel as it was advertised that it included a beachside restaurant and bar. However, this was not the case and the hotel restaurant and bar was shut the entirety of our stay (except for when they opened for a private corporate Christmas party that went until 2am). Carriacou completely shuts...
