Hotels with Views in Nicaragua

"I booked Aqua Resort at the end of a week long active trip in Nicaragua to relax and unwind. Overall it was a nice stay as long as you are aware of a few things. Pros: The view from my suite (Sapote LS) was one of the most beautiful sights I've seen with clear view of the ocean. The plunge pool was perfect for the hot temps. "The property is simply massive and out in the jungle. The hotel is on its own private bay and the rooms have incredible views. The sunsets were epic. And the staff went above and beyond every day I was there with an amazing attitude and a smile. "The location is fabulous- we were in one of the Cangrego units right by the beach & loved it. That being said, our experience with the hotel wasn't 100% positive. We had arranged for a taxi from the hotel to meet us at the border, but were met first by a scammer, who greeted us by name, so we thought he was the taxi driver. He eventually made clear that he wanted us to pay him $20 per person to "help us through the border". He was a friend of the taxi driver apparently, & they were working...

"If you don't mind driving back and forth on dusty bumpy roads and asking where the heck this place is over and over, then it might be ok for you if you are a surfer that doesn't mind substandard lodging. The outdoor bathrooms were dirty with no water and the room smelled like vapors coming from the uncorked sewer drains. The room is worth far less"

"Guacalito is has Brand new facilities, there are two Great restaurants with international food, the hotel has a great un-expensive cigar store. The hotel property is huge with three Nice Private beaches, one of them with white sand beaches. We really enjoyed. "

"This hotel is located about 2.5 hours from Managua. It has a private beach that is amazing, secluded, warm water, great waves for surfing, and wonderful sunsets. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They will go out of their way to assist you. Definitely would come back in my next trip to Nicaragua."

Attention to finer details was missing which would have made a big difference ... we stayed for 2 nights ... second night we were the only 2 guests and instead of being spoilt by extra attention, at one point I had to search in order to find one of two staff members working that night. Disappointing after an 8 hour travel from San Carlos to get there in the first place."
