"The room was fine -- small, but clean. On the downside the bed was hard, and there was a fair amount of noise. There is no air conditioning or heater -- but the weather was moderate. The hotel is within close walking distance to the city center. But on the much bigger plus side, is that on both days my Expedia booked tour companies let me down, but the caring staff at Chankana Hotel (Hostel) went above and beyond to help salvage my entire trip! The second day of my trip the Chankana staff...

"A solid choice but nothing special. Better suited to tourists than business travelers. Pros: great / friendly staff, comfortable bed, quiet, convenient location. Cons: very slow WiFi, outdated room, old carpeting (use the free slippers provided), poor in-room coffee (drip), some power outlets not working, gym doesn't open until 8 AM some days, hotel taxi charges twice the going rate"
