"A two part review. Pros - a large hotel with great infrastructure, lovely rooms, first class friendly service, huge pool, amazingly clean and superb attractive gardens. Cons - the food was mass catering, buffet style, edible but bland and not especially well presented. The beach was truly horrible. "We arrived at 4pm after a three hour car journey, it took them some time to find our booking, we were then told the room was not ready (despite check in said to be available from 12.30). After a further wait, with no offer of refreshment or apology, we were shown to a room which had no fridge and whose key had "been taken by the previous occupants". We complained firmly, and the key was produced within 5 minutes along with a fridge. Overall, there were difficulties communicating with the staff...

"We spent 2 nights in beautiful walkable Ortigia. The hotel was lovely, but difficult to reach by car because of heavy traffic when we arrived. Parking was 15-20 Euro per day, and City occupancy tax was 5 Euro per person per night. Breakfast (13 Euro per person) had to be paid cash. Aside from these unexpected charges it was great! The pool was nice."

"Struttura ricettiva OTTIMA, anche se decentrata, con bella piscina. La stanza assegnata era sul retro, senza vista mare. Personale gentile e disponibile, Utilissimo il servizio shuttle gratuito da e per l'aeroporto. Collegamenti con il centro abitato scarsi. Non disponendo di un'autovettura è possibile però utilizzare il servizio di autobus urbano con fermata appena fuori dall'Hotel. Ottima colazione. Ristorante non all'altezza della struttura. Il menù alla carta non differisce molto da quello...
