“very impressed”
The hotel was excellent as an over all Receptionists were friendly, explained to me all the ins and outs. Had currency exchanged at the reception gave me good rate for a hotel. The room was impressive, fantastic view over the beach and swimming pools and resturants, very comfortabl and has all the expected for a five star hotel. The Gym opnes 24hours, they staff were extremly frienly and pleasant to deal with, the gym itself was well equipt for a small sized gym. good suna and steem rooms, the jacozy had cold water in it and very small so did not go in. The resturant had fantastic food and diner was excellent every day. the private beach area was nice and well catered for, clean water and the swim in the middle of December was good .
“Great for kids”
Had a fantastic time, they have a big temp controlled outdoor pool, a jumping castle and a playground for the kids. It has its own private beach and have a free shuttle service into town and the airport. The staff are friendly and the food was great. Its a good hotel for famlies.

The best in Qatar.Specially for exhibitiors.Too close to walk.There's shuttle bus before and after show hours.
“Great service, beach is not too great”
We stayed in the Club level rooms which is worth every extra penny. The free breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course the free alcoholic drinks during happy hour were excellent and payed for itself. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Downsides were the comfort of the beds (too soft for our liking) and the little ammenities on the beach. We would have liked to see a bit more than just a canoe, like small sailboats for example.
“Good but not excellent”
The hotel itself was very nice and the breakfast buffet was incredible. I am an expat living in Dubai and am used to amazing Friday brunches and this was up there in selection and service! Unfortunately the front desk at the hotel did not check us in properly and they kept calling and coming to our room to correct their mistakes. Also there are smoking and non smoking sections of the hotel (including the restaurants) and so the entire place smelled of smoke. That really bothered my two children. Finally on the first morning we went to the pool and we were questioned if we were really visitors of the hotel or just merely strolling the grounds. We were told to leave if we were not staying at the hotel. When I explained that we were staying at the hotel, they asked for my room number. I did not appreciate this! It should be noted that the shuttle was fantastic and got us everywhere we wanted to go for free! If we wanted to take a taxi (and not the expensive hotel taxis) we would have to order one and wait 30-45 minutes for it to come. Thank goodness for the shuttle. We just needed to schedule ourselves around it. Too bad they have limited hours for the shuttle to airport run!

Rooms need serious revision. Especially air condition Gym is not so clean and is an anarchy, Food is very good
“Great location, poor service”
I chose the hotel because it is based on the beach and has a lovely pool but I was very disappointed by the service this time. When I arrived they could not find a room for me as the hotel was so busy and I had to have a smoking room even thoough I had booked 1 month in advance and arrived at 1.30. They put my colleague in a room above the pub so he couldn't sleep until 2am! They never remembered to do a turn down service and I had to request it twice! They say on the front page of their website that there is free transport to the exhibition centre but I had to chase this three times before it was arranged. Disappointing for a 5* hotel. A good hotel but really poor serive for the prce paid.
