“Good location, reasonable rate”

Barry's Hotel was an easy stroll from O'Connell Street, which made it simple to explore downtown Dublin in the all-to-short time I had. The staff were friendly and helpful.

“Lovely hotel in Central Dublin”

Barry's is listed as a 2 star tourist hotel. It was clean, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating to all of my needs. I loved the lovely foyer, and the bar was a nice place to stop in the evening. The breakfast was filling, and again the staff were very accommodating. I would definitely go back there again.

“Convinient situation”

The situation of the hotel was excellent, close to the city centre. The staff were extremely helpful and friendy. There was no heating in the room on our first night, but was sorted upon request. The room was cramped, and no chairs atall to sit on. Breakfast was substantial, but cooked plate was arriving during cereal course -

comfortable and clean.decor a bit tired looking. friendly,helpful staff. in a good position. 10 mins walk down o connel street to river.good atmosphere in bar, with friendly locals and cheaper prices than temple bar! would recommend.

“Conveniently located”

This hotel was friendly. Easy to find. the room we stayed in was clean,reasonable with a few basic comforts. It included TV and tea making facilities.It was quiet[mid feb mind you].Breakfast adequate.Its best feature being very close to Parnell Square,at the top of O'connell St. makes it an excellent location, ideal for accessing town (walkable - 10mins),although several buses are obtainable very close by. This Hotel won't set the world alight,its OK. A great place to launch from to see the sites,Temple bar etc.etc. I'd recommend it for that reason alone.

“Good value”

Barry's Hotel has a 2 star rating - and you get what you pay for. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room on the top floor was small, but adequate for a short stay - and clean. And quiet. Breakfast was OK; we've had better - and worse. The whole hotel appears to have been recently refurbished, possibly on a tight budget - but OK. The large bar at ground level was very comfortable, and the Guinness sublime. The pole dancing club in the basement bar may deter some visitors. Unfortunately, my partner didn't let me check this out. Perhaps next time...

“not impressed”

room walls had cracks and water stains on ceiling, noise from the road at front of hotel even with windows closed. no mention of the lap dancing club underneath the hotel.

“Could do better”

Room adequate - bed fairly comfortable BUT bathroom door wouldn't lock, had to unplug kettle in order to plug in TV, standard of workmanship in bathroom not what I would expect, breakfast barelay adequate (cooked meal arrived before we had finished cereals)
