“great hotel”
I was in Dublin for the wwe wrestling with my 7 yr old son at the o2 arena and spent 2 nights in the Grand Canal Hotel and i can highly recommend this fine well run clean and very safe and secure establishment. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the close proximity to the dart line makes it an ideal location. The very efficent and very friendly staff added to our pleasant stay and this is a hotel i will be returning to in the future
“great stay”
very comfortable hotel, well maintained and very clean. Location wise : 15 min walk from grafton street but very central to Grand Canal Theatre, Aviva stadium. Hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. It was my second time staying there and i will stay again without doubt. The guinness in the bar (gasworks) was better than a lot of good pubsAine
“Good Dublin Base”
Stayed at this hotel a couple of times, 10 to 15 minute walk to city centre and 10 minute walk to RDS (Dublin Horse Show ground). Food in adjacent bar has vastly improved since last visit. Only gripe is lack of air con which means you have to leave the window open and it is rather noisy
“Excellent Value Hotel”
Excellent value with good, clean rooms and friendly staff. Either 15 minute walk to Grafton St/Temple bar or two stops on nearby Dart station (200m)
“Great Hotel with Parking”
This hotel was very nice, rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. There also was onsite complimentary parking which is not easy to find in Dublin. Hotel is located in a quiet part of town with a bit of walk to pubs and attractions but we did not mind the walk.
“great hotel-excellent pub”
The staff was so friendly, kind, and helpful. We arrived in Dublin at 11am, and did not expect our room to be ready, we just went there to store our suitcases so we could walk around Dublin for the day. Lo and behold, both our rooms were ready and we checked in early and caught a nap before spending the afternoon touring. A great pub is connected to the hotel. It is within walking distance of city centre, and the desk clerk was so helpful in assisting us with maps and bus routes. And it's far from the noise of the temple bar area.
“excellent facilities and location”
very welcoming and friendly staff who couldnt do enough for you.good location for the city centre with close proximity to the dart. food and drink in the bar was tops.
“Very happy!”
I was very happy with my recent stay. I found the hotel very clean and quiet. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the level of security, which required you to swipe a room key before you could press your the button for your floor in the elevator. One note: DO NOT believe the hotel staff when they tell you that it is a ten minute walk into town. At a good clip, it is 20-25 minutes, but it is an easy walk with lots to see. However, there is a DART station nearby which will get you there for 1.40 Euro. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend it to friends and family.
“Great Value for Money”
We had a very good time in this hotel. It's highly recommended.
“Impressive”
Great place, conveniant for DART,
