“Excellent. No complaints. Going back in summer.”
One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Only one tiny observation - there was nowhere to sit outside in the lovely gardens to admire the nice views, especially as the weather was lovely when we were there
“A fabulous way to relax and sample true Irish Hospitality”
This hotel is definitely the very best the area has to offer. All the best you could ask for with food charm service and hospitality in the fabulous Malahide. We will be back as soon as we can. one tiny thing that was not up to the overall high standard was the shower in the leisure centre but all else was wonderful and the sea view room was a real delight. Magic
“Impressive!”
We had a weekend break at the Grand Hotel. The hotel does reflect its name. Very grand surroundings! We did not eat in the hotel other than breakfast. Be wary of the breakfast via room service - not great. Breakfast in the dining room was a lot tastier - & fresher. Our room was not ready on arrival - we had been told 2pm for checkin but could not access it until after 4pm. We were upgraded to the penthouse suite which was fantastic with great views! Would definately return for another short break. p.s. staff were helpful & friendly 2!
“Great Place To Stay Just Outside Dublin”
Malahide is a nice town on the water just north of Dublin and the Grand Hotel was beautiful - large room with a view of the bay, comfortable bed, two bars and a great breakfast.
“Great Hotel for business traveller.”
As a business traveller, this was a very pleasant stay. I arrived on Sunday, and as a female travelling alone,I was made to feel very comfortable and safe. I had dinner in the bar that evening. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. they even stopped to chat to "work on" their English. My second night was spent in the restaurant, which was very pleasant. Once again the staff were very friendly and hospitable. Rooms are fabulous (new wing) and very quiet. I will stay there again
“A wonderful Place to be”
A really nice hotel, extremley clean rooms and friendly staff. The food was great at breakfast, and the bar menu was good for an afternoon/evening snack. A relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic view over the estuary. Highly recommended
“Excellent location”
Very nice place to stay. Good location by the Irish Sea.
“Will go back”
Only one fault - there was no heat in the ensuite. The towel rail was cold and we were told that this was because Health & Safety didn't allow them to have the heated rail on. It was a particularly cold weekend when we were there and I guess that the overall heat had been turned down. It wouldn't stop us from going back.
“Great Hotel”
Great hotel - clean, excellent resturaunt and bar, and staff was very helpful. Not the place to stay if you are looking to be in Dublin, as it is a long cab-ride away, but perfect if you are staying in the Malahide area.
“Old, small single room, but nice in good location”
The hotel was a 'fill-in' due to the lack of availability of accommodation in Dublin on St Patrick's Day. It was a pleasant surprise. The room itself, a single, was small, but met the requirement that it be clean and tidy. I particularly like old buildings and this one is well kept. The location is a quiet hamlet, which had enough life to make it enjoyable [on St Paddys].
