“Enjoy the beauty of the falls in peace and quiet!”
It is really worth while staying at this beautiful hotel 1 or 2 nights in order to experience the falls early in the morning and late in the afternoon when all the tourists have gone. The jungle is full of animal and bird life and the pathways are empty. We also had the opportunity to experience a lunar rainbow - visible at full moon. We had previously spent several nights at a hotel in downtown Foz and visited the falls from both sides so when we were at the Cataratas we did not feel guilty staying by the pool and relaxing in the beautiful grounds of the hotel. We strongly recommend this beautiful colonial hotel - good restaurants as well!
“The best Hotel in Iguazú”
Great location, just in the middle of the Iguazu Park. You can walk to the waterfalls to take pictures before the other tourists show up. The pool is great, food great but expensive. The hotel staff is very nice. It is the best hotel in the area.

First off it is the nicest staff we have ever come across from the doorman to the restaurant staff. Considering that Eguacu Falls, Brazil is one of the wonders of the world I would say so is the staff. We enjoyed everything and could not have been happier with the visit. Thanks Peter

“Review of the hotel das Catarates”
The hotel das Catarates is a very comfortable and beautiful hotel with exceptionally helpful staff. It is just over the road from the scenic walk to the Iguacu falls. The food is excellent and it has a lovely swimming pool. We all had a great time there. It is expensive but if you want a little luxury this is the place.

Would certainly stay here again and would recommend to friends without hesitation. Staff are friendly, efficient and have good English. The hotel is well situated for the Falls as you can access them outwith the park opening hours - the lunar walk is definitely worth doing if you happen to be there for a full moon. The food is of a high standard - we had the choice of a buffet on the first couple of evenings, then the main restaurant was closed as visitor numbers dropped. The a la carte menu is excellent, though slightly pricey but just what you would expect from a hotel of this class. The pool area is well kept, quiet and the staff there are also very attentive, in a discretely professional way. We had a Falls view room and this was worth the extra cost. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable 5 days.
