Beachfront resort yet doesn’t have any seating on beach unless you pay extra. Nobody answers the phone at front desk or valet. Hotel is a little tired looking. Staff was very nice.

Our 2 night stay was amazing! Loved the room with a spectacular oceanfront view! The staff was very nice and friendly. We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t enjoy a nice quiet dinner at the restaurant our 2nd night due to a conference being held - they basically took over the bar and restaurant. They closed the pool bar down early due to poor weather. It wouldn’t stop us from coming back but they should have been more prepared to take care of all the other guests too.

The location was great. Right on the beach with a very nice pool. BUT And there are some big BUTS. First, we had no hot water for the first two days of our stay. We reported this to customer service and maintenance, twice on the first day and again twice on the second. Finally, on the third day, we had hot water for a shower. (After browsing other reviews, I noted another recent review about no hot water.) The second big problem is the parking. You can opt for a $25 a day valet (plus tips) or $10 a day self parking. But the self parking is at least a 100 yard walk up a ramp! We dropped our luggage with the bell cap at the door but I saw numerous people schlepping theirs bags up the ramp. Finally, I rated the mattresses as too soft. That may be a personal preference. Suffice it to say, I'd not recommend this facility to anyone and would warn against staying there.

Nice location on the water and nice pool area with options for shade and sun. I was disappointed that I had to pay $10 to pay to park on my own in outdoor lot. Not disclosed and seems unnecessary in that location. Self park should be free.

What’s with the RESORT FEE tacked on a day later with no prior notice or explanation? I accept being charged to park my own car, but these junk fees are now completely out of control. I hoped a place as nice as your would be above this. I’ve used Expedia to book and pay for more than a few hotels and this is the first time I’ve seen a charge like this. Might be the last time I use Expedia.

The beds in hotel are very uncomfortable. We also were disappointed that the room service was not consistent. And, thirdly our duvet insert had brown and feather cotton clumps that were ridiculous gross!

This hotel has completely FALSE ADVERTISMENT, I will never book at this hotel again!! First off, they charged my card and denied doing it, second off, the 1st day we got their,the ceiling was leaking in the room,they moved me to another room,which they lied about the Ocean view,it was partial ocean .. Lets just put it this way, once my card was charged,and it shouldn't have because my room was already paid for and they had already taken the Holding Fee, and the Front desk lied and act like they didn't know where the charge came from, that right there helped made my mind up , NOT TO BOOK THERE ANYMORE!! Also the TV did not work and the actual door to the room kept having malfunctions!! Basically my whole stay there I had to keep calling Front desk to fix something, and a vacation stay, I shouldn't have had to do that.

The property decor was modern but unfortunately the cleaning and care rendered that unimportant. Rooms and areas were dirty and not well kept. The staff was also extremely inattentive. We called Guest service 4 times: broken glass in bathroom upon check-in, faulty lock on the main door, question about spa hours and inquiring on a package. THEY DIDN’T ANSWER THE PHONE ONCE. Stay somewhere else.

The best thing about this property was their beds other than that the service was horrible... If you could get a drink you were lucky they are either watering down their alcohol or minimally pouring one server served my 16 year old daughter an alcoholic beverage she didn't even catch a buzz and she's not a drinker we realized after the fact that she didn't get a virgin pina colada the bathroom was continually out of toilet paper tissue and hand towels the view is decent however the shade takes over majority of the pool area... 3/4 of the surrounding pool area is given to anyone who wants to buy a seat/ cabana so it's like being on an airplane again the pool was freezing and not heated couldn't even comfortably get in it.... seriously disappointing first time in the Hilton Head South Carolina area definitely wouldn't recommend or go back so many more beautiful accommodating places really hesitated to write this review because I always prefer compliments and positive vibes but this just needed to be put out there they need to improve so here's to that
