The bathroom was clean, large and well stocked. though the hotel utilizes solar hot water, so you never really get "hot" water. The main room was large enough, but the bed was almost to firm for me, almost hard.

Very nice hotel.
It's not too close to the city centre but it's very good value for money. The staff were very kind and spoke English well. The service was excellent and they try hard to ensure you enjoy your stay.

The worst hotel that I ever stay. No hot water for shower! No one clean the room until I asked why. The answer is no enough staff to clean the room. In addition, there are a lot of cockroaches in the room!!! Climbing on your beds so I didn't sleep well.

Badly rated hotel
This hotel needs to be taken off your list. I have been travelling to Vietnam for the past 15 years regularly. I decided to stay here as I arrived late at night from Airport and was leaving early next morning. From the moment at check in I was told there was only a room with no window available, I stood my ground and said not acceptable. Then suddenly a room with a window was available. The mini bar in room not working, so they changed the mini bar with a different one ( we needed this for medication to be kept cool) Then after that the power in room kept going off, so they changed rooms. Bed linen torn and not clean, shower had wooden floor with mould every where Lift out of order next morning so had to use service lift At breakfast only one egg left had to wait ten minutes while someone went to buy more eggs Bell boy no where to be found the night before when we arrived many stairs at entrance. My husband has heart condition so I had to carry bags up stairs. Would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

Acceptable but nothing extraordinary
I've stayed at about 10 hotels in Ho Chi Minh city over the past 6 years I would say that this hotel was acceptable but nothing extraordinary, taking into account the price. The room itself was clean but the window looked out on lots of wire and rubbish, including cement on the outside of the glass. Whilst some light still came in it just didn't seem to fit the image the hotel portrayed itself as. The room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke when we entered, which was unpleasant as a non-smoker. The breakfast was quite good Vietnamese style food.

The hotel was very near to restaurants, banks and bus stop. Staff was very friendly and even offered to store my luggage for free. Room was typical but the shower was a bit of a dissapointment because the shower was literally in the same room as the toilet.

The hotel staff were nice even with very limited English. The first room I stayed in was not so nice, there was a bad odour which was either from people smoking in the room or bad air-conditioning. I was upgraded and the next room was bigger and nicer. I still ended up getting ill. I think the entire air-conditioning needs a good clean out.. It is 20 minutes from the centre of the city so you need to get a taxi to go anywhere. 10 minutes walk from the hotel is a nice park and it is close to the Airport, maybe 20 minutes at most! I would chose a place closer to the Ben Tahn Market next time! Don't leave any money on your bag.. I had $200 taken!

The Golden Crown is a 1 Star Hotel not 3 Stars.
The room reeks of smoke, stains on the pillow and bedsheet, room look is not clean. The hotel garbage bags were left out in the hallway. The whole plumbing is a total screw up, the sink doesn't drain properly. When the shower is turn on the sink also automatically come on!! The shower floor is not clean. I would not go back there again!!

Great bargain three star hotel by airport.
I was in Ho Chi Minh City to visit my friend and stayed at this hotel. It's close enough to the airport you can leave a little later since it's not hard to get there. The area around the hotel is okay but not much things to do if your a tourist. The breakfast is always pretty much the same and not many choices for foreigners but you won't starve. The staff is very professional and nice. I would stay here again when I go back.

Excellent home-stay, great service!
Excellent value! Our travel plans changed before arrival and they were able to change our booking over their busy Xmas time. Linh and her staff were AWESOME! The transfer to and from the Danang Airport was a in private sedan set up by the Home Stay before hand - the most seamless transfer I have ever experienced from an airport - worth the money. Upon arrival to Hoi An, the home-stay is set back off a main road about 2-3km from the town center - noise was not a big issue for us. The included breakfast was simple but very good - the staff are very attentive. Our room was spacious, very clean and well furnished. They also rent moto's and bicycles - rented a moto for a few days, 2 bicycles for the rest of our stay. Ask the staff for recommendations of places to go to in the area - very helpful. Highly recommend cycling around (especially the Old Quarter - they shut it down to moto's in the evening). On my girlfriend's birthday the staff gave her a B-day cake - very unexpected and much appreciated! We met a few groups of travelers (Euro's) who had stayed here before. Would definitely come back to stay! Thanks Linh!!

Service is top notch at this nice hotel
I am totally impressed with the service of this hotel staff. They are friendly, helpful, and eager to please. I left a bag with the front desk for a few days that I did not want to take with me on my trip to Danang and they were more than happy to hold it for me. Came back and the bag and contents were exactly where i left it, and they even helped recover some toiletries from the room that I forgot to take with me when I check out. The hotel location is not in the best part of town for food and shopping but it was very close to the airport and that is why I went with it. The hotel is clean and room is comfortable enough. Don't expect a 4 star room. The taxi driver was the only person unhappy to fetch me to this hotel which is too close to the airport.

Hotel is in a good location to service the airport and train to Phan Thiet as only a short cab ride. Superior room was clean and good value for the money. The air conditioning didn't work very well and takes some time to cool the room, then when you leave power goes off and cycle starts again on return, so make sure you check on arrival. My wife got sick after dinner in restaurant but no way to be sure as it can happen at any time in Vietnam. Overall its not a bad place for one night in transit and local area is walk able with traffic lights and a couple of good bakery's and cafes nearby. It is what it is and the staff try hard!

We chose this hotel because close to airport for travel in/out of Ho chi Min City. Cabs not to happy because its only about $40,000 VND from Airport, but a tip of 20,000 makes them happy. Not in Tourist area. There is a restarant in Hotel and Coffee shops very close by.

Very efficient room service. Rooms till 5th floor have no windows, so very damp and smelly. I requested and they promptly moved me to 7th floor in no time. When booking, ask for rooms on 6th and 7th floor, which have windows and therefore can have ample sunlight. Breakfast is decent. 5 mins from airport , so quite good location. Taxis always available outside, so ease of movement to all parts of city. Overall Good for my business visits. Will choose for my next travels too. One problem..........no hot water in bathrooms, but considering the weather itself is so hot, i personally was ok with the mild temp water !

Pros: 1. Hotel location - good, near to the bus stop of 152 (about 10-minute ride from the HCM city international airport). 2. Hotel staff - good, the staff are very polite and nice ! 3. Complimentary breakfast - good (light and delicious). Cons: 1. Hotel room -(during my stay), the hotel room has no windows (maybe, it is because the neighborhood is crowded with houses) 2. the bathroom - in my opinion, the hotel should have a better design on keeping the separation of the dry space from the moist space.

Lovely hotel but quite far from the action
Beautiful hotel with very clean, modern rooms. The room we stayed in didn't have a window, so no view, but in our opinion that was a good thing as it meant it was very quiet. The only issue with the hotel is the location - it's quite far out of the centre and although we found a decent bar up the road, the options are limited. We moved down into town the following night. We thought the room was a bargain, but we did get a heavy discount - not sure I'd pay full whack when there are so many other reasonable options around the city.
