"We were completely delighted with this historic hotel in the tiny mountain town of Idaho City. The room with one queen bed was lovely, and the common room across the hall homey and cozy, with coffee. Pretty period antiques in charming lobby; long front porch with rockers. Added bonus was our walk through gold- mining town with several original structures on the National Register."

"I was impressed, being an older property and considering all the new ones that were built near it. The check-in was great and the staff were very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was also the first time that we could swim in the outdoor pool and not freeze to death. They had the water temperature just perfect. The breakfast was very good and had a selection of hot and cold food unlike other hotels that I have been in. "
