I did read many reviews about this hotel, but I don't know why people gave low rate of feedback. I got very pleasant time in this hotel with nice staff and clean building and room,the breakfast was not bad reasonable. Every thing were good and comfortable for me and my family. This is fact I spend 4 days and this is the first time for me in this hotel.

Great Hotel
We’re so glad we chose this hotel. From booking to check out all went smooth. Staff so courteous and helpful and friendly. They had our room ready way before check in time, which was so helpful. We enjoyed the rest of the day without any issues

The location was excellent and a tram stop near the hotel BUT the aircon was not working properly and the room was always TOO hot. We reported it several times but nothing was done - saying it needed to be switched over to summer. This spoiled our stay comp0letely. Breakfast was poor

Good location but poor service
This is 2 or 3 star hotel. Only good thing about this hotel is its location near to train station. If you pay anything over $40 per night, you should not take this hotel.

Safe area. Nice friendly hotel.
Even though the entrance is just off the main road, it gives the feel of being a safe and busy area without the noise. Check in was easy. Polite and courteous staff. Room was spacious but a tad worn in places. However the bed was excellent. Very clean sheets and towels. Bathroom was clean and fresh. Breakfast had a lot of options in a bright large room. It was not located in a dingy basement. Value was excellent.

In the city centre . Friendly staff
No ironing facilities. You either need to pay lots of money to the hotel or take the stuff to a nearest laundry shop . Could not open the window in my room . Needs to be repaired.

Don't Go
The staff was rude. My room was freezing. I complained about the heat not working and nothing was done about it. I asked to change rooms and they said that they would not. I slept with my winter coat on. They refused to refund me. The beds we're horrible and extremely uncomfortable. I would never stay here again. This hotel is NOT a 4 star. I wouldn't even give it a 1.

If only the room had better view and a lil bit larger, it'd be perfect I was placed in room 114 I guess not all rooms are the same size, coz i stayed before in room in the 4th floor it was better. But all in all , its a good place to stay

Nice hotel very close to tramway
Pros: the tramway is in front of the hotel , very easy to go to all attraction places. Cons: there is no swimming pool in the hotel, sauna is with extra payment.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is decent with a shopping mall close by and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. Service at the hotel was very good, staff are very helpful particularly those serving breakfast. Room cleanliness was disappointing as several towels had stains on them (think they had been washed but for a "four star" hotel you'd think they would just replace a tatty towel - noone is going to want to use a towel with unknown marks on it). The glasses also looked like they've not been washed as had traces of drinks in them. Realistically this is more a 3 star hotel, not 4 as it claims. However, I think the hotel is priced fairly for the standards it has to offer, our room was pretty cheap. Oh, and for the tea/coffee fans..no facilities in the room :(

good accommodation
the location is a 1 hour walk from the major tourist attractions. There were cafeas etc near the venue but you had to walk a hour in the heat to see the grand bazzar, etc. Otherwise it was a vey good venue

Even though Grand Anka is more expensive than most other hotels in Aksaray, I chose them because it looks nice from the pictures but It turns out rather disappointing. Biggest issue is there is no customer services. I asked for a tourist map when I checked in, I was told the map is for sales only at 5TL. I bought one but didn't realized it is Spanish version. I went back later to exchange for the English one,. I was told they do not have it but they will not take mine back either. The reception later offered me a tourist map which I asked for in the first place as compromise. That made me mad. Another unpleasant experience was the porter who showed me my room refused to leave until I tipped him. Tipping the porter is not unusual. He usually pretends to show the guest the features in the room to buy time but the one who showed me my room didn't even put my suitcase onto the luggage rack, He just stood in the middle of the room with his arm crossed at his chest. It was extremely awkward. Regarding the condition of room, it is pretty bigger but the bathroom is fairly small though; a bigger guy may need to stand on top of the toilet before he can close the door. Another issue is the insulation between walls/windows are pretty thin; I can hear pretty loud snoring from guy who stayed next door and the traffic noise through the window. That needs improvement.

Mediocre at best
This is the second time I stay at this hotel. The first time I stayed overnight in August 2012 and this time 7 days in october 2012. 1- The airconditioning system did not work in the room for all that period and both time I stayed at that hotel. The noise of the A/C is loud enough but it does not throw cold air out. When I asked the manager to fix it. He told me "We have switched the A/C off because every one wants different temprature"!!!!. His dismissive attitude indicates that there was no way he was interested in hearing anymore about it. 2- The resturant is too crowded in the morning and the room is too small for the number of guests. You dare not leave your chair to get a second cup of coffee or your plates will be removed and you find someone else is sitting at your table by the time you return back. The staff in the resturant do not seem to be trained well to notice who is refilling and who is leaving. 3- Ceaning the room does not happen until after 1pm. The cleaner does not remove anything outside the rubbish bin so I had to throw the rubbish bags outside the room to be picked up. Overall the only redeeming thing about the hotel is that it is close to the Tram station.

safe and welcoming
We were very pleased with the service in the hotel and the staff's efforts to accommodate our medical needs. The location provided easy access to the Tramvay and thus the airport and the Istanbul sites. The breakfast was plentiful and the bedrooms very comfortable. The evening road construction sounds were unfortunate but not within the hotel's control. I am definitely recommending this hotel to my family and friends.

Pathetic Service. Not a 4 star hotel.
Very bad customer service. First of all the description said that free hotel shuttle would be provided which was not the case as told to me by the hotel. So Expedia and the hotel are both to be blamed. For a four star hotel pathetic rooms, pathetic condition, could not even provide a plug adapter and I had to buy one. Very rude people and it seemed like I was in a one star hotel in some random destination.

Die Lage des Hotels ist zentral . Das Hotel ist sehr alt und ungepflegt ,aber das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit . Unser Zimmer war auch sauber das Bett und die Handtücher waren sehr sauber und jedesmal gewechselt . Für kurze Aufenthalt okay .

Schönes Hotel; Zimmer waren ordentlich und sauber, das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, es war von allem etwas dabei. Sehr gute Lage, da Straßenbahn direkt um die Ecke war. Das Hotel kann man nur empfehlen!
